Coffee#1 Ledbury — Restaurant in England

I, and friends, have used Coffee #1 for many years. We have always been pleased with the friendly staff and their excellent service. I am very sorry to say but for the past month or so we have noticed that Coffee #1 hasn't been up to 'scratch'. One member of staff, Kerry Clarke, has been on her own, filling orders, getting them out to the customer and trying to juggle emptying tables. She has always had a smile for everyone and at times I think that has been very hard for her. What we want to know is why Kerry hasn't had help? The last Manager left a good few weeks ago but no replacement. A Manager from Tewkesbury came over at one point but she really didn't seem to know what she was doing and had to call Kerry out from her break to sort things out. You have an excellent member of staff with Kerry and I don't think you realise it. We also realise that getting new staff and training them isn't easy, but at least look after the good member of staff that you do...

I visited the Ledbury Coffee #1 store today around lunchtime with two friends and felt racially discriminated against by a staff member.

I wear a headscarf and I’m asian. We popped in for coffee and I briefly pulled my mask down while ordering so the lady serving can hear me clearly. Bear in mind we are behind a huge plastic screen. A short and chubby female staff member felt the need to come to the front to tell me to put a mask on. I don’t have an issue with this, but I see her only a few minutes later having a close conversation with another customer who’s seated and not wearing a mask! I’m just shocked at the double standards.

We felt targeted and uncomfortable throughout our entire visit as staff and fellow customers kept staring at us as though we are aliens. We come from London so this type of behaviour isn’t something we have ever experienced before.

I love this coffee one . The staff and coffee are great but often understaffed and have to wait a long time for service . This isn’t great if you are popping in or have kids . This is my only complaint. The staff are really friendly and make lovely coffee. The cafe is relaxing and dog friendly which is a huge plus for me . Dog friendly area at back of shop which is difficult to get to if you have a big dog for me however I sit elsewhere and has never been an issue with staff.
