Welcome was lovely.

They take card payment and sit in or take away option.

Service is efficient given how busy at lunch time on a Skipton Market day in the rain.

Food was lovely, soup was very nice and warming.

It might have been 11 degrees on the mercury but it was a cold, cold wet day.

There were toilets but did not use them so can not speak to the cleanliness.

If I was going to look for a fault then it would be this:

Limited tables and order at a counter as a single diner or group of 1 can be stressful as someone might take your table while you are in the queue.

It was not a problem and I would assume the person taking the order who needs the table numbers sorts this out.

I only mention this as I have had awkward situation of returning back to my table to find it occupied.

The staff all spoke to me so I can not think it will be a major issue in this...

This is a nice friendly cafe with nice food but I think quite expensive. I had a sausage on a barm with one slice of cucumber with half a cherry tomato and this cost almost £6, it was nice but should have been half the price, cup of tea was nice. My wife enjoyed her soup (leak and potato) again very expensive for what she got. One major problem is with the table tops, they are very sticky, the style of the table has a painted top and the wood has lots of cracks and spaces that I guarantee the tables hold more food than the actual cafe, the surface is so sticky that we could not even slide the plates on it, the tables definitely need changing for some that can be...

Was in skipton on a date day and came a roos this place whilst looking for a place ro grab a coffee. As we are quite random we decided to go in and enquire. It was midweek so not as busy and we were led upstairs where the magic happens. You choose whatever pottery it is you'd like to decorate then sit and paint it whilst eating cake and drinking coffee (if you want to). After a week you can go and collect it or they'll post it out to you. Thry recommend booking for weekends or school holidays but walk ins are accepted when quiet. A great idea, friendly, welcoming staff and homemade cake too. Going back to collect our design and planning on staying and...

Came here my Aunt booked us a painting session which was amazing and we had lunch first before that my aunt got gluten free tuna melt with an oat milk mocha and she loved it and my mother got Tuna mayo jacket potato and a cup of tea which she loved and my brother (who's autistic) had a bacon and sausage butty with a chocolate milkshake and he loved it and I also had a bacon and sausage butty but with a cup of tea with soy milk and I loved mine was such a fun day and will be coming again. All staff are so kind and friendly. No complaints at all. 💕🌸💕

I’ve visited Coffee and Clay twice, once to enjoy Coffee and once for the Clay! The first time I had a large Mocha with all the trimmings (marshmallows and cream) and had the best Banana Loaf cake I’ve ever had! The second time I went with my daughter to paint a plate for Christmas. It’s brilliant for making keep sakes or presents. We’ll treasure our plate forever. The staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit and I’d highly recommend the clay painting whether you’re going with kids or even a bit of fun with your grown up friends!
