Walker’s Bakery — Restaurant in England

Disappointed that we never got the chance to visit the cafe upstairs. Upon entering the shop we were abruptly and rudely requested to go and stand outside. We are aware of the maximum number of persons allowed in this shop at any one time, but had to enter the shop to check how many people were inside. A friendly request to wait outside would have been met with my complete understanding and respect, but being spoken to like a child was insulting and enough to make us exit and go to another cafe. From my first email and then 1st phone call to Avis Walker the service I recieved was amazing, we discussed what cake I would like and Avis had some fantastic ideas and really talked me through my options, We travelled to the yorkshire dales on holiday from Cornwall for my partners 60th birthday, we collected the cake early on the morning of his birthday, the service on collection was again fantastic and the chocolate cake was sooooooo delicious, yummy yummy xx We can’t recommend Avis and her team highly enough and if we lived closer we would use them for celebration cakes all the...

Awfully managed. Multiple menus with ite.s crossed off. No toilet facilities for my disabled mother. Ordered jacket with tuna, came with sweetcorn mixed in with tuna. Server said she couldn't do just tuna fish as it's all pre mixed with sweetcorn. Wanted to leave my jacket and bring extra. I told them to bring me a new one, they did grudgingly, again also no toilet facilities for diners, surely it must be illegal to have seats for diners and not provide toilet facilities. They need to sort out their menus as well. Very poor....
