Shocking experience here on Friday evening. Waitress got our order wrong after taking payments first and told us there was nothing they could do even though we only asked them to swap the pudding for the dessert we had actually asked for. Customer services skills were laughable and cringe worthy. Eventually a manager came over but far from diffusing the situation he implied we had in fact ordered wrong and told us again they couldn't do anything for us. After we insisted we only wanted the right dessert he eventually relented but advised that "if we come back, which we probably won't, we should know their policy is no swaps, refunds or exchanges". The experience was ridiculous; as professional young women who all work with customers we were bemused by the manager's lack of competence and social skills. A shame as the place has potential to be quite a lively and successful place but the attitudes of the staff and manager make the atmosphere unfriendly and having dined there twice now both times the place hasn't been as busy as you would expect it to be. Well firstly i had gone in the store and ordered dessert, when i got my food i found a hair in my dessert. I tried to get the attention of the staff without making it to obvious to the other customers as i didn’t feel right in making a scene over something that could have been an accident. Never the less i had to get up and go to the counter to let them know. Once i managed to finally speak to someone about the hair, there was no apology nothing, he replied with “i’ll get you another one without even looking at the dessert” at this point i decided i didn’t want anything else as the staff member didn’t even acknowledge the fact that there was hair in the food and didn’t even seem apologetic at all. Whilst i was there not any of the staff had come to apologise nor ask if i wanted anything else, just carried on like it was all okay. Got there 11 and told takeaway only. If that is the case, then change your hours or display this. Imagine if people came from far to sit and relax but get told takeaway only. Staff too busy focused on cleaning up so they can leave on time, so thats why it is takeaway late on. Im sure this is against trading guidelines! When the milkshakes were given to us on the table in takeaway cups, we were not told to leave. So it was just a case of not wanting to use glass mugs. Mojito looked like diluted juice in a cup!
