Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

I visited this Costa today as I was freezing cold & getting hungry so I just wanted something to warm me up, unfortunately there was no chance of that.

I queued for some time behind just 2 people as the 2 males that were on the till & making the drinks were mucking around behind the counter, so nothing was getting done including cleaning the tables, by time I got served the queue was so large but people were just walking out, I ordered a medium white chocolate having never had one as I didn't like the look of the cakes they had left, then within seconds i was asked if i wanted chocolate on top, i replied yes but was amazed how quick my drink was made.

I found myself a table & took a sip but my hot chocolate was almost stone cold, so I decided to go & ask for a replacement, I could see that he wasn't happy but the manager i think he was just said that he will bring it over to me when it's ready, i waited quite a while in this loud & very dirty Costa as so many kids were screaming their heads off, then i saw the same young man walking towards me with my new drink & not the manager as agreed, he put it down & I thanked him but he just ignored me & walked off, unfortunately I took a sip but I am sure that it was the same drink as it was almost stone cold plus it didn't taste of white chocolate in the slightest, as I was thinking that it could be far too sweet for my taste buds but it just resembled bland milk, very disappointing at almost £4 & next time I will try the 2nd Costa further up the road that I didn't know existed until today which is probably where everyone else was going when they left the queue...

Possibly the filthiest Coffee shop I have ever been in to. The toilets were disgusting, in the customer area most of the tables were dirty and uncleared and the same could be said for any outside tables. There were three staff members working, but they seemed more concerned with chatting to each other and drinking Red Bull. The cake display was minimal to say the least, unusual for a Monday afternoon in a busy seaside town. The service received fitted right in with the overall experience of this shop, it was poor to say the least. Without doubt you cant say the location is great. Right opposite the public toilets and trust me when I say you can smell it when sitting outside. Scaffolding that cant be helped will make you feel imprisoned. However I cant fault the staff, there service and hygiene. Very friendly and happy (must be the fumes from the public toilets 😂) coffee sticks with the brand and tastes great. Food very tasty and fresh and every table clean and ready for the next customer. I will be returning although this time I'll sit inside to avoid smelly torbay councils "high hygiene...
