Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

This is truly the worst Costa I've ever been to. Where do I start? There were ants crawling all over my partner and I, on our table, I got 2 in my hot choc... They were on the table.... Everywhere... I'd also like to point out that we were sat INSIDE the coffee shop aswel. The toilets were absolutely disgusting. They stunk, there was a puddle of water on the cable leading up to the hand dryer. No soap, gosh it was just awful. My partner is in a wheelchair.... I had to walk ahead and clear a pathway, ask people to move chairs and tables so he could get in. The drinks were just another level of rank. I often get a Costa on my way home from work.... Trust me the portable machine in the petrol station is a far better option..... And over £4 cheaper. John's cup of tea was 1 tea bag in a huge cup with the tiniest splash of milk.... It was weak as heck... I honestly could carry on, but I won't. There was no cups to have our drinks in.... I didn't want a takeaway but I still got it in a take away cup. The tables were covered in debris from the previous people... Fair enough a couple... But this was every table. The girl was cleaning as they were closing early.... Her spray wasn't working.... No problem, apart from the fact that she just carried on with her damp cloth. In all the cleanliness and hygiene issues in a normal situation were far from acceptable. However a this current situation of the covid epidemic is just completely unacceptable! I'd avoid this branch of Costa line the plague....

Really rubbish service waited 20 mins to be served then ordered one salted caramel iced late and a plain iced late with two cakes. Repeated it like 3 times got it in the system £9 down. Woman disappears. Other lady gives me supposedly salted caramel iced late I try it and ask is it definitely a salted caramel one as it just tastes like coffee she said yeah so I left it. 5 mins later asks me what I’m waiting for so again told her my order. Got the order sat down told my partner about my drink she went to ask them about it. The lady said she just did caramel not the salted caramel even though she clarified it was to me. They then changed it. Just annoying messing around over a simple order when with kids time is precious and it resulted in my baby getting bored and grouchy. Not impressed especially...

A pleasant service from the order taker, but it went steadily downhill from here. Not the standard Costa Experience. The badly creaking entrance door squeaked and squealed EVERY time someone entered or exited, like someone letting a balloon down. The dishwasher had broken, so take away cups only. H&S dictated staff unable to wash cups by hand. A COCONUT mocha became a SOYA mocha because they'd run out of coconut milk. I was then presented with a WHOLE MILK mocha as the barista had forgotten about soya AND despite telling her, she looked at me as if it was my fault. I took what i was given! I will add that the lemon layer cake and caramel crisp were tastful....
