My Wonderful Experience at Modern Farmhouse

I came on here to share my lovely experience at Modern Farmhouse yesterday and I must admit, I was quite upset to see John’s previous one-star review. It felt unnecessarily harsh and unfair to such a fabulous venue that clearly takes pride in its food, drinks, and service.

In fact, John, I believe you were sat near me! I enjoyed a delicious mezze, and my friend had the avocado toast , the same dish you ordered, though I noticed you added extra poached eggs. I also saw you enjoying two coffees, which you didn’t mention in your review. That’s a shame, because the coffee at Modern Farmhouse is truly exceptional ,far superior to what you get from the larger, unnamed coffee chains that charge far more for far less quality.

Did you enjoy your coffee, John? Was your food freshly prepared, and were you served politely and efficiently? Were you comfortable in the warm, welcoming surroundings?

I dine all over Cheshire, and I can confidently say that Modern Farmhouse consistently strives to deliver a top-quality experience. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the team , and the family behind them, clearly care deeply about what they do.

It’s disheartening to see a small business criticized unfairly when they work so hard, especially in today’s challenging climate. Everyone around us in the café seemed happy, content, and thoroughly enjoying everything Modern Farmhouse has to offer.

The moden farmhouse has a nice feeling to it has you walk in always nice warm welcome off all the staff and situated in a great place of alderley edge very open plan wich is great and would most definitely recommend. I want to had to my review I've been coming every day since the modern farmhouse opened and I have to say there is no better place in alderley edge for food and drinks they also now have outdoor seating with wonderful surroundings and water fall from the moment you open the door you get a great feeling from the owner and all the staff give you a warm welcome they great to get on with they always smiling and very perlite and can't do enough for u all very professional and well mannered you most definitely need to visit if your in or around the erea. the modern farmhouse screems out class. Really Great food shame the service was so poor, we were sat down and asked for menus and the lady said she would get us some big instead she went to sit another table down and gave them menus straight away and served them before us at this point still no menus after about 8minutes we then got our menus and ordered and the girl was rude and looked down us when we asked for water she said tap water? In a very rude tone. Said waitress then completely neglected our table she wasn't busy but the other servers were reasonably busy also the customers in the restaurant were rude giving us dirty looks because we in joggers and not the trendy expensive clothes very cliquey in there with the staff and the local customers we held the door open for these two ladies not even a smile or a thank you.
