An autistic nightmare
Came here while waiting for my car to be repaired. Very disappointing and wouldn't come back.
Positives: Close to the garage Plenty of parking
Negatives Big queues Only two members of staff who were obviously overwhelmed Because of the queue almost extending out of the building, it was freezing cold and draughty because the automatic double doors were almost continually open. I get that this is an accessibility issue but it's really not a good design. McDonalds actually solve this issue pretty well by staggering the doors, reducing the draft. If everyone in the building is wearing a coat, you might think there's a problem...? Overpriced and burned coffee. If it wasn't so busy I would have asked for a replacement drink but I didn't want to be difficult when they were having such a hard time Extremely slow Wifi at 3Mbps so it wasn't possible for me to work, hence the review I hate the big menu screens. Screens everywhere!! I'm sure they drive ENGAGEMENT beautifully but I find them really annoying, desperately commercial, and they totally ruin any kind of civilised ambience. Makes it feel like McDonalds, and not somewhere I'd personally want to spend an extended period of time. Very loud alarms going off every 15 minutes for no discernible reason. Read moreFirst time visiting this store as a fairly new Costa customer (2021) . I noticed the bar staff kept steaming milk for customers ahead of me and just adding milk in whilst still steaming half way through as more orders were being given. I was under the impression this isn’t how drinks were made.. I noticed there were numerous jugs laying around so if someone ordered a different kind of drink they just resteamed instead of making fresh and rinsing jugs every time. I asked when I got closer if I could have fresh milk instead of resteamed to which the female on the bar huffed, threw the jug in the sink behind, this then brought attention to a co worker who then both started whispering . Never experienced something so unprofessional before. I only wanted a latte with fresh milk and steamed to the right temperature, yet was made to feel awful. I didn’t attack, argue or become rude I just asked if it was possible as all the jugs looked stained like they had been set around for a long time. Read moreToday’s visit was not great, we have visited this Costa on numerous occasions since it opened and have always found to be ok, sometimes better than others. Today however was pretty bad, service was very poor, staff just seemed to not want to be there, cinnamon buns were ok but seemed like remainders of previous days stock, store was not exactly clean, tables were left piled with dirty cups and plates. Upon using the toilets before we left what can I say, only one out of two in use, not a major problem however the one that was in use obviously not been serviced, no toilet tissue, toilet seat broken, no soap, I did complain about this as I was leaving and was told they will sort.
