Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

... I visit a lot of Costas up and down the country. I'm a coffee club member. Went to the Whitworth Road retail park Costa today... shocking service. The shop was apparently selling off 'Limited edition Winter Cups' at 50% off for a tagged £5.00 price (see photo). So bought 4 for presents. Ordered two flat whites at the counter too. Handed over two refill cups, at which one member of staff (manager?) said "...we can't fill those up with flat whites Darlin'... Queried the cost of the winter cups with 'Lily' as they were rung thru at £6 each. A work colleague (manager again?) interjected, turned the till screen towards me and said "we've got the wrong label up darling". No offer of compromise. No apology, as she said " We can't sell em for £5.00"...As a large queue was forming behind, there was no offer of refund I asked for the cups back, at which 'Lily' sarcastically/pointedly said, 'Please!'... a fellow barista with heavy red eyelid makeup just smirked through the whole conversation. Very embarrassing, with no pleasantries, or help with the issue from any staff member. Customer service/focus non-existent. Do Costa deliver Customer Service courses? On this evidence,definitely not!! Tables cluttered with empty cups/plates. Full ashtrays on all tables outside. All in all, give this branch a miss....

Absolutely shocking place i specifically said i wanted a drink with no dairy or soya i was asked if it was a preference or an allergy to which i said severe allergy and they never listened never showed me the allergy book.

My child had an allergic reaction to the point she was nearly taken into hospital. I've spoken with several different people to which they are not admitting fault there answer is well you gave it to them and as ive been a customerfor 17 years i should know the menus and ingredientsof everything on there menu my order is only ever caramel latte with cream i dont change milk as i dont have an allergy.

In my opinion this is a very poorly run company all they have to do is tick boxing for thier training as I have recently found out on the paper article of a child that had died at the hands of costa very poor way to handle things will avoid like...

This was my 1st visit here.. sadly my last .. sorry guys! The young lady Barista behind the counter clearly didn't want to be at work on a Saturday (but then again who does). Drinks ordered. What was ordered didn't appear (Christmas Gingerbread Festive Latte).. I told the barista that I thought I ordered the Xmas special she just replied 'we don't have any cream'. Surely it would have been better Customer service to have said this beforehand at the time of ordering. Never mind I still had a normal GB latte which was ok.. not the best Costa coffee I've had. Tad upset no Almond Croissants available. Surroundings: windows inside absolutely filthy. Standard comfy Costa seating and ambience. Outside: around the doorway was littered with cigarette ends, sugar sachet wrappers. Overall experience : rubbish - sorry.. I won't be...
