(Wish I could give 0 stars). This KFC never fails to... well... fail. 9/10 times they will miss off items in your order if you are taking away/drive thru and I am sure this is a ploy they have come up with to try and boost their sales. After all, most people don't check the bags until they get home and by that point, they're unlikely to bother doing anything about it or complaining if items are missing. Items paid for and not given to customer = profits for this KFC. If your KFC franchise isn't making the sales expected, maybe you should re-evaluate WHY you're not getting business rather than tricking customers. Here's my advice to boost sales instead of shortchanging customers: TRY HIRING FRIENDLY STAFF WITH EVEN JUST A VAGUE INKLING OF HOW TO DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY AND YOU MIGHT GET MORE BUSINESS!!!!! Instead of tricking customers out of the food they have PAID for. I have now taken to ALWAYS checking my bag before leaving because it is highly likely there is an item missing, but today was the final straw and I will never in my life be going back to this KFC again. Today's happening: I checked my bag after leaving the drive-thru and stopping in the car park and alas, my wrap was missing. I'd be lying if I said I didn't see that one coming. So out my car I get, taking my bag of food and the receipt to the till (which defeats the object of going through the damned drive-thru). The man at the till apologises and puts a wrap in the bag when... to my absolute disgust, the woman at the till has the audacity to call me a LIAR!!!!! 'I put one in there! I definitely did! It's under the other stuff at the bottom of the bag'. (She was very adamant that she had put it in). I have NO words to express how outraged I am by this 'woman'. So... your incompetence makes me a liar?? I THINK NOT! How DARE you. I work in a supermarket and would never even dream of treating a customer like that. Unless the wrap you put in was invisible, you are beyond an idiot. Or maybe you think that a wad of napkins equates to a wrap? Because that was certainly the only thing 'under the other stuff'.
KFC, you seriously need to have words with the franchisee for this store. They are damaging your name by providing the RUDEST and WORST customer service I have ever encountered (oh, and the food is mediocre at best. Stale chicken and soggy fries). This store needs to be investigated because the general incompetence, lack of care for the food and customers, laziness and unclean toilets and seating area AND potentially intentional missing off of items is unacceptable. The people that work there (and treat their customers like liars) should be sacked and...
Read moreSame shop, same order, but two different scenarios based on different shift managers. Last weekend I ordered a 10 piece family feast bucket and because there were many around the table, I asked if we could have more chips as sides, so the gentleman said 'no problem', and instead of 4 different sides he gave us 4 french fries sides. Today I went for the same order. First problem, I wanted to order from the car, so I stopped at the drive thru ordering post. The lady with the mic told me very politely that the card machine was not working, and I need to pay cash, or I should come inside to place the order and I can pay with my card. I want also to mention as a positive thing, that a poster with the same message was displayed at the ordering stoping post. So, I followed the lady instructions, I parked my car, and I went inside. The lady from the counter was preparing some orders for delivery guys, so she asked me politely to wait a few seconds. I was the only one at the counter, so it was not a problem to wait until she finished her job. She came to the counter and I placed the order. When we arrived at the sides part, I said that I would like 2 corn, and 2 chips. She said that unfortunately she can't offer me chips. I explained to her that just one week ago I was ordering the same thing, and I asked for french fries and this was possible. What has changed since my last visit? She said that that was a mistake, and her colleague was supposed to offer me sides from the list and not chips. So, I accepted her explanation, and I ordered 2 different sides, plus another 2 chips on top of everything. But I was a little bit angry, and I want to apologize for my tone. In conclusion, my kindly suggestion to the shop manager, or to the person who is reading my comments here please, please, please, kindly offer to your customers the possibility to order chips as a side for a family feast bucket, on top of the chips which are coming with the main order. Thank...
Read moreI visited the KFC in Wellingborough yesterday and, while there was nothing wrong with the food itself, the behaviour of the management staff was extremely disappointing. The individual who appeared to be the manager was shouting at young staff members who were clearly trying their best under pressure. It was also evident that the team working in the back were not communicating effectively or providing the other staff members with what they needed, which only made the situation worse. A man, who I assume is also a part of the management team, from the way he was demanding people to do things, stated that he didn’t care if customers were upset and walked off, despite us having waited over 30 minutes with no explanation or update. As a former KFC manager myself, I found it unacceptable that the store had run out of so many items; the kitchen staff must do better.
My family and I are regular customers at this branch, but unfortunately, there are ongoing issues with every visit. On a previous occasion, a different manager made the environment extremely uncomfortable due to very poor personal hygiene. The unpleasant odour was unacceptable and has continued to be an issue each time we’ve returned. This raises serious concerns about the store’s overall cleanliness and hygiene standards, especially when the person in charge is setting such a poor example.
I would like to acknowledge the young female team member who was doing her best to manage everything on her own while others stood around or were on their phones. She showed professionalism and dedication under very difficult circumstances.
KFC Wellingborough urgently needs to address its staffing levels, improve management training, and raise its customer service standards. If these issues continue, the store’s reputation and ultimately its future will be at...
