CW2 Burger by Local Burger — Restaurant in England

We came in on a Friday evening without a reservation and were sent to a table. There was a group one table over that were obnoxiously loud but we perused the menu and made our selection. We requested a different table as the group were becoming unbearable. We could not hear each other and I felt sorry for the couple that were sat next to the rabble. Drinks came out in a timely manner and the staff were working hard in the kitchen fulfilling orders. At this point the air-conditioning unit we were sat under spat out a large amount of freezing water and ice right down my wife's back! This of course generated much hilarity amongst the noisy pillocks in the corner. A staff member most apologetically started mopping up the mess. We moved to the other side of the table as the bench was wet and we had to wipe off the chairs before sitting as they were covered in crumbs. The food finally came out (in fairness it is cooked fresh) and was acceptable. I had hoped for better but it wasn't bad. My wife did enjoy hers. We finished up and quite frankly couldn't wait to get out of the place!

This could have been a much better experience if the staff had got the group to simmer down. Every other customer whilst we were there had looked over shaking their heads and commenting to the other members of their groups. We had mentioned the disturbance whilst trying to get a table further away but nothing was done. With all the other options for food locally I would not...

My train was delayed by an hour and as there are no really nice places in the station I decided to go for a wander. I found CW2 Burger quite by chance. The Nantwich road which it is on looked like a bit of a dump but CW2 really stood out.

I’m pleased I went in.

I had the Kreuschlitzschraubenzieher Burger (which I obviously ordered by pointing at the menu and saying “that one” as I have no idea how to say it) and it was absolutely delicious. Accompanied by some basic fries and washed down with a pint, I am now set for whatever Avanti West Coast can throw at me.

This is clearly a small business and the proprietors worked really hard to make a great product and make me feel welcome.

My only suggestion to them would be to advertise in the station somehow so people who are delayed like I was know CW2 is there. Maybe a small discount to lure them in? Just a thought.

Anyway, I’m not local and maybe I will never make it back, but it was a great find and I will remember it for...
