Da Vinci Restaurant (Swindon) — Restaurant in England

I really didn't want to write this as I have nothing against the restaurant or the food as a whole! Yesterday (mothers day) my son ordered us all food around 5.15pm about an hour and a half later I rang and the lady said to me that they where extremely busy and that the food would be leaving in 5 minute's of course I appreciated that being mothers day. Still no food quite some time later, i only live approximately 5 minute's drive from the restaurant! I then rang back again and was told by the same lady that she didnt know where the food was and I should of had it by now, to be honest her whole attitude was disgusting and her customer service was awful, like she wasn't particularly bothered! Still know food 45 minute's later, so yet another phone call, for the same lady to tell me that it had been delivered but to the wrong house number and then tried to tell me that the door number that was on their ticket was wrong when I clearly had the booking confirmation infont of me! I offered to screen shot the confirmation and send it as proof she then proceded to tell me that it was right on the email but wrong on the ticket!! To me it all sounded like excuses and the restaurant was clearly over worked and not enough staff/ delivery drivers. The whole thing was just a disaster the food was cooked again and sent out and we finally got it around 8.40pm after hours of waiting, I was offered a complimentary bottle of wine which I didn't want as I don't drink it or a bottle of coke which I also turned down! My 19 year old son had paid for this it was it was over £50 worth of food and when I asked for a refund or atleast a part refund she said that I had already had 10% off which was a promotional discount that they where doing online anyway! I was offered discount on my next order but I will not be ordering again! Needless to say we where all starving and my 8 year went way past her bed time due to waiting so long i had been in hospital earlier that day and just wanted to come home and eat some nice food! I will be going in to see the owner ASAP. This is not exceptable and if the restaurant couldn't handle the pressure then deliveries should of been cancelled and should of been collection only!!! I'm really really disappointed and this is a huge shame because it is normally such a lovely...

Service was good even if abrupt at times and crossed the line between good humour and bad taste. To each his own personality. Popped in for a quick lunch, food arrived prompt, only a couple of other tables but expected more than what was thrown together on the plate. Not the best carbonara and too much cream. My colleagues opted for pizza and lasagne. Both basic looking, although simplistic dishes, it's the little fine touches that make the difference and only a true italian cooking master would know. The cheese wasn't freshly grated that's for sure, and although you don't necessarily need parmesan as your cheese of choice (which it wasnt) a pecorino Romano could have been offered as is tradition with my carbonara. It's the little things this place lacks or has just forgotten about. Not quite...

Found this highly rated restaurant on our way back to London after a 6 day holiday. With my wife we ordered salata tricolora (mozarella, tomatoes, avocado) pizza diavola (spicy pizza with cheese and salami) and a tiramisu. We shared all the dishes with a glass of house wine. We haven't eaten anything before this meal for 5+ hours and didn't eat anything afterwards. Sadly, 3 hours later, while going to bed my wife had a stomach ache and over the next few hours had to empty her stomach several times into the toilet due to a really bad food poisoning. I was wondering what caused it only to wake up later in the middle of the night and do the same. Prices in this restaurant aren't cheap so it's saddening that the kitchen...
