We've been to this restaurant last Friday. Every opportunity we have, we try to go to a Brazilian restaurant, but there aren't many in this country! I am native so when I go to a Brazilian restaurant I like to see tradition. This reaturant did not fail. I did have a moment when noticed there were não pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese balls) at the salad bar but got happy again when they told me they would bring them to the table, as well as the chips! The salad bar wasn't one of the richest I've seen, but everything was fresh and nicely cooked. The polenta fries were gorgeous and the feijoada (beans) was tasty. Now talking about the meat cuts, this place really amazed me! And this is not easily done! I could not fault one type of meat, they were all at a good temperature, well presented, well carved and very tender, juicy and full of flavour! Massive well done to the churrasqueiro! This place did not try to stuff us with cheaper cuts such as sausages and chicken with bacon. The churrasqueiros were attentive enough to see that the meat needed to go back to the fire before trying to give a cold piece and uncooked piece away. Staff were efficient and every request was attended swiftly. We had two small children (3 and 5) who also ate some of the meats. I was happily surprised to see they were not included in the bill. And no discretionary service charges were applied either! The only negative is that the staff could've been a little more friendly and would've liked to see more smiles. But I was very happy with the food and the bill was reasonable. I left there feeling satisfied and...
Read moreI've only been here twice but each time I had a very enjoyable evening! A great place for groups of friends and family to meet up and a really good selection which is all-you-can-eat.. The buffet food was continuously refreshed and everything I tried was delicious! I also liked the green/red block on each table to let the staff know when to bring meat to your table.. The only thing I think they could improve on is maybe having something on the table to identify anyone in the group who isn't eating meat.. I don't personally eat meat but it doesn't bother me to have it served around me (and everyone I was with was a meat eater so they were obviously in heaven!).. I just got a bit tired of constantly having to say 'no, thank you' when a huge skewer of meat was dangled over my plate! Perhaps a place mat to identify anyone who doesn't want to be offered meat..? But honestly it's a really small detail.. I would love to take other friends here but I know some of my veggie friends would feel uncomfortable having meat constantly offered to them.. This would probably help when it comes to billing as well (as I was charged twice for a full meat and buffet all-you-can-eat even though I only went up to the buffet!). Anyway, would never say no to a...
Read moreA real taste of Brazil. By the time you leave you will feel as though they are paying you to eat! Dont be afraid to ask for the meat how you like it as the large pieces are turned slowly over a BBQ and served as thin slices then returned back to the BBQ and brought out again. This place is a meat lovers dream. If you love meat BBQ'ed this place is heaven. For first timers or people that dont know you pay a fixed price (less than £20) and can help yourself to whats there as often as you like. There is a wooden block of two colors on the table which is facing red up when you sit. When you are ready for the army of waiters to bring meat to you then turn to the green side up. Simple. When they present the meat and if you like the look of it then take your tongs and pinch to hold as they cut. Dont worry if you miss one or want more they will be back and will continuously keep coming round (Rodizio) until you face the red end of the block up to indicate you are finished or want a break. Brazilians are very friendly and approachable so rather than complain just ask. They are always more than happy to help. Iv been many time and will...
