Amy and Adam have moved mountains to open up in the current climate in a safe way let alone economically with high-streets competing with online vendors and business rate rises. They are located in a prime position for those on their commute to Swindon as well as those living and working here who look for an independent vibe. It benefits from its proximity to a fine example of social housing to house the GWR workmen as well as the Works - some of the few surviving pieces of Swindon's built heritage.
My spirit lifts coming here; I am always greeted with a smile and receive impeccable service. To that extent, a far more sociably rewarding experience than your high-street chains though granted, they are part of the ecology of the high-street. This local branch of a franchise already feels well-established. The menu is wide enough without being intimidating (not your Costa Coffee!) that lets the fresh ingredients do all the talking. Coffee blend is silky smooth and not too bitter. I wholeheartedly recommend you support this...
Read moreI’ve been really excited waiting for this place to open after reading about it in the paper during lockdowns, and came into town specifically to visit, however when I looked in the window a few weeks ago, both members of staff weren’t wearing masks at all, even when coming very close to and serving customers. Really off putting when considering being served food during a pandemic, it didn’t fill me with confidence in the business sadly, especially when every other place I have ordered food from lately, staff were wearing their masks. Doesn’t help when trying to assure nervous family members that it’s okay to be outside again. Such a shame as we were so excited to come and eat, but we didn’t feel confident even not eating in, as the staff were working behind the counter without the masks too. It’s understandable that the customers obviously need their masks down to eat, but we’re not sure why the staff weren’t...
Read moreKitchen in the Corner is a beautiful cafe "on the corner". Light, white deco, with padded chairs for comfort, gorgeously decorated sweets and treats and a vary selection of gifts for anyone's fancy.
The food was well cooked, beautifully poached eggs; well done bacon, juicy Cumberland sauce and well plated breakfast. Only con was tomato could of been charred abit more. The baked beans was also an interesting, full of flavour!
The coffee was not too bitter (most coffee shops make Latte much too bitter) so the coffee was treated well and wasn't burnt. And the pattern on it meant they took care and attention to detail.
Overall I recommend this 5 🐼! Great...
