Divino Harrogate — Restaurant in England

Divino is such a gorgeous restaurant with great food, beautiful cocktails, and really good value for money! I ordered a lychee martini (which wasn’t on the menu) and was so impressed, the bar staff really went the extra mile and it was delicious and beautifully presented. I’d have given a full 5 stars, but unfortunately one staff member tainted the experience. From the start, her comments about us not ordering starters or extras felt unnecessarily judgmental and pointed, and we noticed her watching us and making faces at various points throughout the evening. Before leaving, went to the toilets and I’m not sure if this member of staff intentionally followed us but she opened the door made a face, shut it then lingered outside before doing it again with a comment about the upstairs being closed and needing to escort us out. It was only around 10pm and we hadn’t been told the area was closing, so it felt like we were being rushed out or monitored unnecessarily. When we came out, all she did was unhook a single rope to let us downstairs, which made the whole thing feel overblown. The rest of the team were great and I’d definitely come back, it’s one of the most beautiful restaurants in Harrogate but that particular interaction left us feeling...

We had pre booked our Xmas party of 8. Atmosphere was great, service was really good. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t up to expectation. The Brie starter was served cool along with the prawns. The mains, steak came on its own with a couple of leaves of salad no side. The Turkey apparently was nice but the veg and potato side was cold. Dessert, we ordered cheesecake which the server said wasn’t edible so to choose something else, I didn’t like any of the other options so just had two main courses but the others said the puddings were nice. Drinks, cocktails have shrunk to a bare minimum from when it was Lucia’s and to say they’re a whopping £11 I didn’t think it was worth the money, but a nice glass of Pinot although nearly £10 a glass, can’t have many but it was very nice. So beautiful in every way Menu superb . Setting beautiful. Staff wonderful. Atmosphere perfect ! We are staying at a hotel nearby and this was a restaurant we found on Google as nearest to there. Looked good so we walked over . It beautiful, the outside presents well and the interior doesn't disappoint. Spacious and I like the fact all the tables are set enough apart from each other. The atmosphere is just right and the menu is so good ! The food is superb , great portions and freshly cooked. The staff here are perfect , friendly while letting you get on with it , attentive and polite . All round 5 star visit . First time in Harrogate but we will return and visit Divino again ....
