How much cheese?! This has to be one of the best finds for me ... Drinks & Bites is simply a gem that I will be coming back to when I am visiting Middlewich for work. The New York Deli sandwich is just pure perfection with a tonne of heavenly melted cheese, and it may look small and basic on the outside, but boy, it was anything but! The two ladies serving and making the food were so lovely and very welcoming, investing time in their customers and having a nice chat while the food was being made up from scratch! Highly recommend. Get your butt's here for an epic sandwich/toastie and support local!

After a very disappointing search for an evening meal yesterday we were hesitant about finding anywhere worth trying for breakfast. What a truly pleasant surprise therefore to find such a wonderful little gem. Actually, Gem, and Holly. The couple who run this place do so with a real passion. It's spotless, tidy and oozes humour. The coffee is exactly what good coffee should be, and the breakfast more than made up for not finding anywhere last night.

We visited Drinks & Bites at the weekend and were overall really pleased with the visit. The service was great and its done up lovely inside with an extensive menu. We felt the food was OK but the hot chocolate and rocky road made up for it - both of which were delicious!! Would return and would recommend.

What a rude person!

Shocked is an understatement!

From the attitude walking in from the first woman.... to the rude remarks when ordering something from the woman who cooks. I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life.

With a work colleague too! I'd picked a colleague up from the airport and on the way to a meeting in Middlewich. I ordered a bacon sandwich to takeaway as we were passing through as the meeting was 25 mins away from when I ordered. It was cooked quickly, as my colleague was drinking her coffee. I decided to eat a slice in store. I was told I need to have a plate as we don't want customers to think we serve everyone from a takeaway bag. I then noticed it hadn't even been sliced into two, so I asked if this could be done. I was passed a knife and plate in the most uncomfortable interaction I've had.

Upon leaving, I walked up to the counter to give the plate and knife back. The look I received from the woman server was negative and unsettling beyond belief. Unwelcome is an understatement. She then insisted, so why did you ask me to takeaway if you were going to sit there and eat it anyway! What a waste of packaging you've just caused!

I've worked in customer facing roles all my life.

How this place makes money with them two women working there is bizarre. Why it is anyone else's business how a customer goes about their day, time, and business is an insane overreach. Stay in your lane. You're there to serve,...

I'm new to the area and have always somehow managed to get to this place when it hasn't been open. No fault of theirs, just no luck on my part.

Managed to get in today for a sandwich and was NOT disappointed. Had a Marinara Meat ciabatta and my wife had a tuna melt panini, the food was fresh, really well cooked, prepared and presented and the staff were friendly and sincere.

The coffee is very nice too, not the strongest blend, but very pleasent for a summer afternoon.

My only criticism would be the soft drinks being a touch pricey, but that's by no means unusual in the industry.

All in all a superb cafe placed conveniently right in the centre of Middlewich. Highly...

This place is a little gem, you can tell how good by the fact that when we turned up about 1030 there wasn't a free table, fortunately there was a customer happy to share. The owners were friendly and very welcoming. They do a great range of breakfasts, ciabattas, sandwiches, toasties and paninis, all the regular favourites and many with that something just a bit special. There were clearly a lot of regulars which tells you how good it is. We had a couple of hot ciabattas, Avacado bacon & chicken for her and sausage, ham & turkey with marinara sauce for me, quality ingredients that tasted fantastic. Together with an espresso and tea all for just over £20...worth...
