I recently visited this place for the first time. Unfortunately it was an underwhelming experience from the beginning. Upon arrival at 9.50pm we were told that we could only order from the āmains sectionā of the menu as the kitchen staff were starting to āclear upā... however the website states closing time as 11.30pm on Saturday. Before we had removed our coats the overly attentive waiter had taken the drinks order, and returned to take the meal order. The food arrived promptly, raising the question of freshly prepared food? The meal was average at best. However the most off putting part of the visit by far was the hovering waiters, one of which rudely interrupted mid conversation to ask if we had finished our meal. At this point we hadnāt finished, and there was still plenty of food left on the table for him to see, this was approximately 40 minutes after we had arrived, and the place was empty apart from our table and 3 others. This left us feeling uncomfortable and no longer wanting to finish the meal. On that basis, unless you enjoy eating your meal in a rushed and overly observed, bad mannered environment, (without sight or offer of a single solitary poppadom) I would recommend trying anywhere...

Unfortunately, there is no option of rating this restaurant 0 stars. Not only was I disgusted with the service I received during my meal at this shambolic establishment but your response to my initial complaint.
Firstly, your colleague mentioned only one name which was āDavidā which is the name of the gentleman who booked the reservation on my behalf who clearly stated this over the telephone to which you replied ādespite your dishonesty, we have tried our best to be very accommodating.ā I beg to differ. I havenāt witnessed such unprofessional behaviour in a very long time! Not only have you been slanderous towards me and highly insulting, you have spilt food on my clothes on three separate occasions as well as deliberately "tacking on" additional charges which is illegal! Referring to your previous response when you state you ādiscountedā my final bill. That was not a discount, you removed an amount that you illegally added to my bill.

After making the booking online, a few days later I received a phone call from the restaurant asking for a deposit, but I was not in the habit of giving my card/bank details out to random people over the phone. At the restaurant, there were way too many customers and staff to make the experience socially distanced. The layout of the restaurant made it impossible to keep 2m from others. Not sure how they're managing to bend the rules? As soon as we arrived, we were hurried, then forced into ordering, and staff appeared so rushed, that they were unable to hear our orders properly, which led to an incorrect order. Food wise, for me, the balti was too oily. I had booked an early table to ensure I could spend a significant amount of time with my 'support bubble' but we were asked/told to leave after 2 hours as the next customers were waiting. As we had already eaten, in the current climate, there was no other place we could go afterwards to continue our evening. I was utterly frustrated!
