Today I went into this place to ask for a missing refund that I wasn’t provided on Sunday, and me and My partner were both verbally abused by the Assistant manager named (Paul) he repeatedly and loudly insulted us and offended us in front of all the other customers just because we were asking for something that is our right as non-satisfied customers.

On sunday I went in there and ordered a cocktail that after 25 minutes was never delivered, so I approached the tills and asked for a refund because I couldn’t wait any longer, the same guy did not provided me with the refund but wither with a receipt that showed the details of the transaction just some random printed paper saying that it’d take 24 hours for the refund to be processed… then today Tuesday 13 of august, I walked over 2 miles to ask what was going on and the same guy (Paul - Assistant manager) came back to me and was extremely rude and disrespectful, he insulted me and my partner, shouted at as and somehow threatened us, we are considering taking legal actions against this individual, and against the establishment probably with the financial ombudsman for allowing someone like that disrespect and threaten customers in such a negative way and also for denying me the right to get something that corresponds me (my Money) …

So unless you want to be abused and disrespected in the most horrendous way AVOID at all costs...

Gotta give This place 5 star's. Because it literally was a life saver place. Newquay in rain with 10 year old and 3 year old hard work. We were on foot. So walk-in distance from where we stayed. So there's good points And other not so good points. Good points indoor and outdoor play areas. Great view's of beach harbour and sea. Indoor seating outdoor seating. Smoking seatin area too which if you're a smoker like myself very appealing to sit and smoke. Beautiful if you have the weather to sit out. Nice inside too. Food wasn't cheap but very nice. I can recommend the fish and chips. The chips are something else. The drinks aren't cheap either. But needs must for our needs. The staff were really nice, extremely helpful. Especially Sam. He took exceptional care of us and our needs. The manager whos name I forgot to get was Very helpful too. He helped us organise a taxi which proved to be hell but he sorted for us. The downside was of course the prices and the encouragement of use of the app. My companion wanted to pay cash and isn't technology savi so found the app very frustrating. I did manage to use app and it was pretty straight forward. But I was paying on card. Overall though i give a well deserved 5 star's to the place and staff. The bad point's I pointed out are I guess the owners not the staff that run the business within. And the bad point's are not...

Five of us visited on 3st Jan for a meal and drinks Bar staff were nice, friendly and pleasant...... as were serving staff Pub was not busy but the atmosphere was pleasant However the food kept much to be desired. Sirloin steak was thin, very chewy and very small for the price. Grilled tomato was not grilled and refrigerator cold Mushroom was cold with no flavour Peas were hard and cold Some of the chips were old and must have been hanging around for a while....growing harder Ham and chips was spoilt by cheap and bland meat which appeared to be manufactured. This was never real ham and most of it on two meals was left on the plate. There was a lot of it but less of a better quality meat would be an improvement. Dipping curry sauce for onion rings was refrigerator cold. Onion rings were cold and unpleasant. This may have been a bad night for the cooking staff but surely somebody in the kitchen must be made responsible for checking it was "good to go" Between us we ordered two ham, eggs and chips one steak one scampi and one burger. We are not over critical people but nobody really enjoyed their meal and much of it was kept on the plate. I cannot recommend any of the food we purchased. We were in town to visit a 90 year old uncle and complaining on the spot would have spoiled the...

I believe it gets busy here due to the kids soft play area as well as the view which is really stunning as it’s a nice pub with outside garden area, play areas inside and out. It is also on my past couple of visits filthy dirty there was food all over the floors any table you choose to sit at has remains of food and glasses (glasses were collected at some point) it surprised me as it’s a very expensive place to be wether to eat or drink. Drinks cost me £16.20 for a wine and one larger and the mixed grill which was edible but the steak looked pathetic really it was sliced to about 2” x 3” and £4 for 13 chips which were pretty dry. I would say its location is great but honestly I didnt enjoy it I felt like it was below par on many areas but the prices were astronomical. There are kids running everywhere, food all over the floors, dirty tables so the service or maybe just expectations of a nice meal out mine were not met. May be great for some people. Staff have always been nice. There’s no parking here but lots of seating it’s a big place which gets very busy and as mentioned great views when your not looking at the mess around you.

Great location right on the seafront with plenty of seating both inside and outside. We visited on a sunny day and really enjoyed the views. There are QR codes on the tables for ordering, but online ordering wasn’t working at the time, so we ordered at the bar instead. Good selection of beers and ciders - especially liked the local Cornish cider. The food was mostly very good: the fish was one of the crispiest I’ve had, nicely seasoned, with great chips and mushy peas. The hunter’s chicken, however, was a bit disappointing—the portion was generous, but the BBQ sauce overpowered everything, and I wasn’t a fan of the salad dressing. The pub is dog-friendly, which is lovely, with water bowls and even treats available for your furry friends. Atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, though be warned about the seagulls if you’re sitting outside—they’re bold! One swooped in and tried to steal my food just as I was finishing. Thankfully, I found this more funny than frustrating. Overall, it is a nice spot for food and drinks with a brilliant coastal view. A few small tweaks, and it would be perfect.
