Four Pillars Indian restaurant — Restaurant in England

One of the best Indians I've ever had. First time ordering online, got 20% off the mains. Was advised 40mins for collection. Got there on time (not early, not late). I live a 3min drive down the road and it was already cold when I got back. I think it had been made a lot earlier than the text advised but there was no further updat provided. Had they've text again to say it was ready (or close to being ready), living so close I would've popped down to get it sooner. Instead, I think it was just sat there for a while.

The food was still great and I'd definitely order again. But maybe I'll ignore the time and get there 10mins before. I know how popular this place is and standing around waiting isn't really an option as its always busy, last night was no exception. The restaurant was packed.

I love the four pillars. I have lived in Olney since I was 12 (15 years) and my family has always ordered from here. But tonight I have been disappointed and wanted to give feedback. We ordered online as the website said we would get 20% off. But when we arrived, they had our order but hadn’t started it??? (we ordered at 9 and it still wasn’t ready when we arrived at 10.30, the website said 30 mins). We had to wait for them to prepare our meal and they didn’t offer to pair for our drinks whilst we waited or apologise for the delay at all. When we got home we were even more upset to find that we had only been given 1 popadom (we ordered multiple) and the wrong chicken tikka. We moved to olney in 2017 and have honestly never been to another Indian Restaurant since! The Food is fresh and cooked with passion, the staff have as much quality as the food and we have built a great friendship. Not only do we make four Pillars a regular meal due to the team and excellent food but as a passionate cook they tick every box, we asked for a dish not on the menu and it was delivered with peferection!
