The Fox and Hounds in Kingsthorpe has seen many changes over the past few years It had a thriving football team and golf society Its Halloween and Christmas/New year events were always well attended by the locals Sadly the owners decided to revamp it and turn it into something it couldn't be at least in the area it served after a time of loosing regulars and falling takings they decided change how the pub was running appointing a new manager who new how the old style Fox and Hounds functioned I'm glad to say it has gradually returned to a pub enjoyed by regulars and visitors to the area It still has not regained its panache but hopefully this will return in due course It has a good selection of Beers, Wines and spirits and a comprehensive food menu always well presented and off excellent quality all be it a little expensive, It also has a nice outside seating area for eating and drinking weather permitting. This pub/restaurant has been local to us for donkey’s years and I have to say that it’s become a shell of it’s former self.

We came here for a roast dinner for my brother’s birthday and i can honestly say it was the worst roast dinner I’ve ever had. The beef was tough and anemic looking. The veg looked rotten and the roast potatoes seemed like they were cooked a week ago and warmed up in the oven.

The service was also poor, forgetting drinks, and side orders, not clearing the table, not brining the bill and essentially forgetting about us completely. Items were also added to the bill including those we didn’t receive. It’s probably important to note that it wasn’t all that busy and the focus were on the daily punters and meat raffle.

Came with my family for lunch on a Saturday. Was very disappointed in the service. We waited quite a while for our food despite it being very empty and we only ordered sandwiches or sides, we had to chase up where it was in the end. Our drinks were left on the bar so long that I had to go up and grab them myself and bring them over, this is despite there being a staff member right next to us ignoring the drinks and instead prioritising writing on the sign board. Also forgot one of our drinks from the order. When the food arrived one of the dishes had the incorrect side. Another dish they forgot to bring out the chutney. They didn't offer sauces so we had to flag them down again to eventually get them. They also started clearing plates while some of us were still eating. On a good note the food...
