Frankie & Benny's — Restaurant in England

Absolutely atrocious,food,service and prices, never again, you really need to avoid going here.We visited tonight for our granddaughters birthday,It was almost empty,so you’d think the service would be good? No, that’s not the case, there were two “waitresses” only in attendance,and they spend most of the time standing by the tills,laughing and chatting .You wait ages to place any orders,and then even longer to get any food or drinks. Four of our meals when we finally ordered were left on the counter whilst the two servers stood around talking,we had to wait for them to finish their chat and giggles to bring them over,we then had to wait for the last meal, our granddaughters to come out,when they finally brought it over,it was cold and inedible and should of been sent back,but as the staff have again disappeared,it’s difficult to get anything done,so she had to leave it,and share our dinners. We asked for mayonnaise,it didn’t come,we had to go and collect it,we asked for some cheese,same result ,we had to go and collect whilst they stood around chatting again.There was no cutlery on the table,so we had to ask for that, no salt, no pepper,no vinegar,the tables are just not looked after.The prices are ridiculous £3.45 for a small glass of Fanta,don’t ask how much they charge for a glass of milk ! ! All together £137.00 for 3 burgers and chips, 1 ribs, one cold inedible meatballs,a couple of cokes a beer and some garlic bread, absolute rip,off, I’m surprised this “restaurant “ is still open at all, and that people go there. Went there tonight and I’m very surprised, in a bad way, really was not good. Our mains had come before our starters and when we had asked for our starters first, they took our mains back which we were fine with. Portion of calamari was very small and the garlic bread had hardly any garlic in it and was like 70% plain dough. After they took our starters we waited ages for them to give us our mains, and when we did get them it was because we had been waiting ages and asked about them it. They told us that our food was going to be remade but it had gone to the back of queue which no one wants to hear so when we did get our food we were expecting it to be hot, it wasn’t. It was warm almost cold, the calzone was very badly burnt and under-filled and bland, the chips for a steak was cold and the steak was very fatty and then the pizza I got was too much dough and very thick and was only warm. Really underwhelming. Never got asked at any point how our food was which is something that should be done so customers aren’t unhappy. We also weren’t the only ones who had issues tonight, seemed very apparent it’s was a few people and it was a bad night for them. I’m sorry but Frankie & Benny’s has really gone to the dogs, not a good experience for us anymore as this is not the first time we have had a bad experience. i would not recommend anyone to eat here, I would tell them to NOT eat here. This is definitely one of the better Frankie and Bennys. I will admit that we have a fond spot for Frankie and Bennys but then they do have a lot going for themselves. You know what you get, the food and service is typically always good and the prices are reasonable too.

We visited here and were not disappointed. The staff where friendly and service was great and above all the food was truly outstanding. Food was fast but fresh and there was satisfaction all around. This really is one of those places where you can eat a lot of different things and you typically will not be disappointed. We had the burger, the pizza and the pasta and all three dishes were amazing. They have recently revamped the menu and now they have a great selection and the kids menu in particular is great. You can choose either a small or bigger Menu depending on how old your kids are (or how hungry) and your an choose from a variety of main courses with a veggie side and a carb side followed by an ice cream and of course some great drinks.

The burger, I personally had the bacon double cheeseburger, was a pure delight. The beef was well seasoned and nicely spiced and the burger, bacon, cheese and bun ration works. You get a delicious chutney on the side and the fries are fresh and taste good too.

I can easily recommend this place and I am sure that you will be able to find something that you fancy...
