Lovely little spot for Brunch or Lunch in the heart of Grasmere. Not overpriced for what you get, and the homemade sausage rolls and the scones were absolutely fantastic. Well presented and hot latte too, and the Toasted Sandwiches did exactly what they said on the tin. Only slight mark down was the pace of service - I appreciate they've got a vast array of tourists to deal with, who have all their own quirky requests and "demands", but it was a very pedestrian pace - so much so that after we ordered our coffees, I had time to get all the way back to the car park to get something out the car and back again before our food arrived! However, great little venue, great spot, and greatly appreciated!

Although this place has the look, the trendy vibes and a fair atmosphere, the service was somewhat lacklustre (I read on the menu that they are short staffed today, but this should affect service, given their reduced (it said on the menu!) food offering. A little over £3 for my coffee is decent. Sit in or out and takeaway is available. Apparently they have rooms too... Wouldn't likely drop by again...

I visited after day hike in the rain. It was busy as expected, I wait short time for seat. Coffee and lemon cake was delicious and I enjoyed moment of sit, and watch people passing by. I didn't really care about photo, is no matter as I enjoyed it, and was tasty and was nice to have moment after hike. Staff very friendly and polite. People around less, manners count! Will be back soon

Called as a party of four with a dog. First time we have been in. To be honest we were a bit unsure as it was empty (everywhere else seemed very busy) but nothing ventured nothing gained and in we went. So glad we did as firstly, we beat the rush which came about ten minutes later, secondly, staff were absolutely superb and thirdly, the food was stunning. We had a mix of sandwiches, scones and sausage rolls - stunning, simply stunning tasting food. We then sat and watched as the place filled up and an almost never ending takeaway line formed with absolutely no let up in service or standards or smiles. Never been here before but WILL...

Called at Grasmere late morning - busy as ever & a bit rainy, so we looked for indoor seating where we could take our dog. This café was ideal, dog friendly (our dog was made very welcome & got fussed by the staff), and still serving breakfasts, which we wanted. We chose the vegetarian breakfast but were disappointed with the overall quality. Poached eggs had uncooked watery whites but solid, hard yolks (how is that done?!). Mushrooms seemed overcooked. It was a shame as I enjoyed the veggie sausages and the rest of the meal. Coffee was good too. Would go again but maybe not for the...
