Fresh Darlington — Restaurant in England

I ordered a cheese toastie from these absolute incompetents and got served a complete disaster. There was an eggshell in the salad. How do you mess that up unless you’re actively trying to be careless? The toastie was stuck to the pathetic excuse for a box it came in, which tore apart because the packaging was clearly designed by someone clueless. The sandwich and the paper had melted together like some kind of sick joke, making it impossible to eat without losing half of it. Oh, and I ordered two toasties, what did they deliver? A random panini. Did they even look at my order or are these people just completely clueless? The whole thing looked like it was packed by a blindfolded toddler. The presentation was horrendous, the quality was non-existent, and the whole experience was a total waste of money. Save yourself the headache and avoid these people...

Pretty disappointed - we go here regularly as a walk in. Usually really nice service & the food is always lovely. Popped a Uber Eats order in, accepted, one item became unavailable post ordering - not a problem. Tried to change it, Uber Eats which fair enough isn’t their fault was acting up and wouldn’t let us amend it. Called and I felt I was being palmed off and I wasn’t able to verbally change it, just had to accept a refund on the item that was sold out. Moved on swiftly & wasn’t too bothered, until they cancelled the whole order with no communication approximately 6 minutes after. It was just the one item out of order, so unsure as to why the entire thing was cancelled. I called just before so they had my number, a simple phone call as we are reasonable people would have been suffice — where has the customer...

Bought a sandwich from here last weekend, 20 minutes before my train, and I've got to say it was a.) one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, and b.) one of the friendliest services I've ever received.

I can't remember the name of the manager, but he and his two colleagues just seemed so happy, chatty and energetic. Whilst making the sandwich we were chatting the whole time, but he still got it done quickly as he knew I had a train to catch (he asked).

I didn't know which chicken to have in my sandwich (there were four choices) so he let me try all of them - and I wasn't at all disappointed with honey chilli chicken. It was so good.

I don't usually leave reviews but this one deserves one. Don't hesitate just go...
