Nice little cafe if a little tight on space inside. I met friends for a coffee and a sandwich here and I think we mustāve picked a particularly busy Wednesday lunchtime as the staff seemed very busy and a little overwhelmed. However they were perfectly pleasant when they were able to serve me. I found it a little unusual the cafe had no menus. Instead we were told we had to choice from menu chalk boards dotted around the room. There was a large board on the wall near the front of the cafe and a smaller one over an archway, neither of which we could see from our table as we were sat at the very back of the cafe. I felt a little sorry for the family sat behind us as they also couldnāt see the menu boards either and had several small children and elderly relatives with them so it was quite a chore for them to relay menu options by shouting across the cafe. I would suggest visitors choose food options as soon as you walk in, before getting a table, as itāll save a lot of faff later on. Our table had a childās high chair & clear shower curtain wedged next it. I imagine this was used as a divider between tables when Covid restrictions were tighter but none of them were being used on the day we were there and actually got in the way of the family seated behind us. Our sandwiches were perfectly fine and we shared a small bowl of chips which were nice on a cold autumnal day. I would go here again but I think Iād just have coffee and skip the food. Or possibly go at a different...

The coffee tastes fine indeed, but the food is of very poor quality and badly prepared.
Mother-in-law ordered a sandwish, it was terribly overgrilled and we could see the burnt parts of the baguette had been scrapped with a knife before the sandwish was served.
I ordered a tower breakfast : one fried egg was broken and both were overcooked the sausages were possibly the worse I ever had, the type of saussage that is 30% pork meat and 70% soy etc... (possibly frozen as well) half a tomato no idea why they serve this with a terrible burger bun instead of bread slices potato wedges and hash brown were fine.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreBy chance I happened along this wonderful little coffee shop in Downend near Bristol. Outside it is extremely well presented and only matched by the excellence of the cosy comfortable presentation inside.
I've added a picture of the staff who were there on the day who gave me excellent service, They were friendly, helpful and professional creating the impression that nothing would be to much trouble.
The menu is creative yet familiar and the service timely, efficient and friendly.
I witnessed a coffee cautious customer being guided through the options without even a hint of the condescending tone you might experience elsewhere.
Outstanding on all counts, well worth a...
