We found this delightful bakery on a return from Manchester airport to Stafford. With their early Sunday hours, we had wonderful service, great selection and welcoming seating options. Even though the Sunday market was getting set up, they had a steady stream of customers. We split a ham and cheese croissant, along with a great blueberry muffin with large blueberries throughout! We mentioned it was our first time, and Chelsea & Mia surprised us in giving us our seeded sourdough for takeaway for free! The bread is delicious! Great find! We'll be back when in the area.

Looks like a really cute bakery/ cafe from the outside, so I decided to go in for a coffee. The coffee itself was ok. Nothing special. Had a flat white. Wouldn't buy another but wouldn't refuse it if someone bought me it again. However, I also had a sausage roll. Never in my life have I ever thrown away a sausage roll, but it was awful. Horrible taste. They tried to be extra with it, and it didn't work. I'd rather have a cardboard tasting cheap one from Tesco. It was that bad.

Picked out some items from the counter to buy and take home. Products bagged were pre wrapped from the back of the store. Smaller, squashed and looked nothing like those on display. Try other places ahead of this one but if you must come here ask for items from the display. The rejected items not worthy of display are not worth parting with your cash for either. Edit - spot the difference between the product on the website and the product I was sold.

I went in at lunchtime and there was a sandwich available. I asked whether there was dairy in it as I have an intolerance. The man behind the counter said ‘well I’ll have to print it off for you’ and walked away to get a print out- immediately not impressed with the attitude - don’t need others to make me feel bad about asking for allergen info. He came back with the ingredients on a print out which I read, one ingredient was yoghurt, so I said to him oh it looks like it has yoghurt in it so I can’t eat it - to which he said ‘I don’t know what’s in them’. He didn’t bother trying to find me something else, didn’t apologise and I left...

Coffee is gorgeous here. Food, it's nice, but weirdly small and definitely not filling. Very expensive food for what you actually get... But then it is good quality. But don't think that warrants the price of some of the things - some items I've looked at the price and actually laughed.

The staff are very hit and miss. But I have found this across Gail's to be honest. Not sure many of them have people skills, or at least haven't been given proper people training. A bit of customer service training would probably work wonders...
