This is a lovely park with lots of big open grass areas to play, walk or sit/picnic. I only saw one area of it and didn't go for a walk along the paths, so assume there is more to the park than what I saw.
There are a good number of picnic tables, but none seemed to be in the shade (hence docked a star) which would have been nice on such a hot sunny day, but there is lots of shaded areas (from the trees) where you can sit on the ground, so pack your picnic blanket!
There is a good fenced off area with play equipment and the big mere/pong which is safely fenced off with lots of birdlife to watch.
The park is nice and clean and has many rubbish bin around to use.

For what once was a great location for families has now become run down and tired in need of serious updates and repairs, and possible expansion given the area...
