Went on a Thursday lunch time. Been many times before over the last few years. Amazed we could just walk in and get a table. It always used to be so busy. Ordered paninis. Brie bacon and cranberry. It was hot but not good. Opened the paninis to fine chopped bits of smoked streaky bacon. The brie barely existed. But was full of cranberry sauce. When paying asked about the bacon , the man that seemed to be in charge said it should of been fresh cut back bacon from local butchers. So he went into kitchen to question chef about it. No apology offered. Drinks we ordered a can of fanta at £2.55. Scandalous price. But he had run out. So asked for fizzy water. It came at room temperature. So had to ask for ice. He went to shop next door to buy ice. Asked for sliced lemon. Got that OK. Menu very limited. Later found out it has changed ownership. And you can tell. Not for the better. So disappointing Won't be going again. How do people get...

Well the food wasn’t bad But the warm welcome do not exist , if exist it’s only for friends We booked the table in advance and it wasn’t reserved they just take us to the table they want they don’t asked if it’s on that table or not , we moved to another table My friend asked for coffee with oats milk not good at all , I asked for black coffee the test was horrible like water not flavoured at all I’m not recommending this place at all The old lady she was a waitress that day she was rude , we asked nicely for her to take us a picture she said I’m getting sambody to do it and never coming back , the younger girl she was nice but to busy I do understand I’m waitress my self But we should have a smile and be polite even if the world ends , get a proper staff member or if you’re the owner found a...

Pros: Great food, we loved it Lovely staff Busy - lots of seemingly happy people

Cons: They were overwhelmed on this particular morning (a chef had called in ill), and the atmosphere from the staff was a bit chaotic and panicky. Everyone seemed to be doing every job, with the coffee baristas coming to take orders, and the chef/runner literally running plates between the diner and the kitchen, and then also coming to take orders. 3 or 4 tables got served before us - it was around 20 minutes before our order was taken and we were about to give up and leave. Once we were "in the system" however, it became smoother.

None of that mattered in the end, because the food was delicious and we left happy. If the staff get a better "system" for organising all the work, they will iron...

Staying locally for the weekend and decided to take a trip into Wareham to stretch our legs. Came acroothe Garden Gate Cafe on Google Maps and thought we would pop in. What an incredible place. Our server was great, listened to our requirements and made some great suggestions. Cream tea for myself and what divine scones they were, freshly made and bought to the table still warm. I couldn't manage both so was offered a takeaway box so I could enjoy the rest later. Fresh tea leaves in the tea pot with the perfect amount of milk provided. Honestly well worth a visit if you are in the area. Couldn't fault anything.

First time going to this little cafe and it exceeded all my expectations! The photos online and Facebook looked amazing for the afternoon tea and it was perfect! The staff were welcoming and so polite and really lovely to speak with, the atmosphere and people in the restaurant were all lovely, we had lots of people comment on how good the afternoon tea looked and if you’re thinking of popping in you should definitely try it out. They have lots of other items on the menu; Jacket potato’s, paninis and homemade cakes and scones. Can’t fault this place at all, thank you so much, can’t wait to come back.

I am updating my last feedback from two years back/Ago! I can not knock this establishment. The staff are so nice and friendly. They make you feel like part of the family and with a genuine smile and the chatter which makes you feel most welcome. I took my brother for a breakfast recently and we were both very happy with the service and quality of the ware. A big shout out to the owner for using local produce for his plates. Keep up the outstanding work Guys & Girls. It works XX
