Dug this little gem of a place out of a Google Maps search for breakfast. Unfortunately we got here too late for breakfast but had an early lunch. Tyneham lamb meatballs with chilli, garlic & ginger in a Moroccan tomato sauce, new potatoes & warm roasted beetroot, thyme & oregano salad for me, Lisa had rack of Tyneham lamb ribs (a LOT of ribs š) with chilli & smoked paprika, new potatoes & the same beetroot salad. And "The Look" from Lisa after one mouthful sealed The Salt Pig's fate š
You can find some real diamonds on the back of Google reviews, so hopefully this will persuade a few of you to venture this way and try out some unusual but truly excellent produce cooked superbly and dished up generously - 3 MAHOOSIVE meatballs on my plate š¤¤š¤¤
We're stuffed, both of us, but will be taking out a salad box for later on and starring The Salt Pig forever onto my Google Maps as a place that must be revisited and indeed will be. Even if we have to park the camper on the street to make sure we get here in time for breakfast š

Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was our first time visiting this place and it has significantly ruined our holiday. When asked how long we need to wait for a table, the waitress advised 15 minutes. After 50 minutes and watching the waitress letting other multiple ālocalsā who came later than us to get seats, they did not apologized for wrongly advising us on the initial wait time. When confronted why they advised us wrongly, the waitress never tried to apologize and stated that it takes however long it takes for people to eat. We have never experienced such a bad customer service before in any catering business and clearly they do not understand the meaning of āserviceā business. It is embarrassing that they cannot even apologize to customers when clearly they failed to manage the customerās expectations and showing expressive preferential treatment to locals. Due to their preferential treatment to locals, it was questionable whether they were being racist..absolute shock in 21st century and we will never visit this...
