While waiting for our NHS vehicle to be serviced in a local garage we decided to get some well deserved breakfast. We came across the Salt Pig. Heard good things about it and we ordered the full English breakfast and coffee. The coffee came first and was a true delight. Very nice taste. This was followed up by a lovely large plate of great quality food. My favourite had to be the mushroom šŸ„ and they were complemented by some curried beans. Tasty brown sauce finished off the treat that was a full English. Deffo recommend the breakfast šŸ³

Really excellent hot food and coffee, friendly service. Large proportion of the menu locally sourced. Food prepared with great care and all so full of flavour. Considering the quality, really quite reasonably priced. Indoor seating is very limited due to the size of the space, there is a little outdoor seating on the high street which will be just fine in warm weather. Really enjoyed our visit.

If your passing or stopping at Wareham then I would highly recommend this place as a nice breakfast stop. Menu choice is amazing and different from the standard breakfast menus found at other places. Delicious and freshly cooked breakfast with the best coffee in Wareham I'd say. Great promp service with a smile. A nice relaxing atmosphere here.

Dug this little gem of a place out of a Google Maps search for breakfast. Unfortunately we got here too late for breakfast but had an early lunch. Tyneham lamb meatballs with chilli, garlic & ginger in a Moroccan tomato sauce, new potatoes & warm roasted beetroot, thyme & oregano salad for me, Lisa had rack of Tyneham lamb ribs (a LOT of ribs šŸ˜) with chilli & smoked paprika, new potatoes & the same beetroot salad. And "The Look" from Lisa after one mouthful sealed The Salt Pig's fate šŸ˜‰

You can find some real diamonds on the back of Google reviews, so hopefully this will persuade a few of you to venture this way and try out some unusual but truly excellent produce cooked superbly and dished up generously - 3 MAHOOSIVE meatballs on my plate 🤤🤤

We're stuffed, both of us, but will be taking out a salad box for later on and starring The Salt Pig forever onto my Google Maps as a place that must be revisited and indeed will be. Even if we have to park the camper on the street to make sure we get here in time for breakfast šŸ˜‚

PS: Lisa says the toilets are so perfect she wants...

It was our first time visiting this place and it has significantly ruined our holiday. When asked how long we need to wait for a table, the waitress advised 15 minutes. After 50 minutes and watching the waitress letting other multiple ā€œlocalsā€ who came later than us to get seats, they did not apologized for wrongly advising us on the initial wait time. When confronted why they advised us wrongly, the waitress never tried to apologize and stated that it takes however long it takes for people to eat. We have never experienced such a bad customer service before in any catering business and clearly they do not understand the meaning of ā€œserviceā€ business. It is embarrassing that they cannot even apologize to customers when clearly they failed to manage the customer’s expectations and showing expressive preferential treatment to locals. Due to their preferential treatment to locals, it was questionable whether they were being racist..absolute shock in 21st century and we will never visit this...

The Salt Pig Wareham. I went about two years ago and this lovely lady sold us lunch which was wonderfull great meats for a bbq. They seem very proud of thier produce sourced local. The lady's customer service was phenomenal she went above and beyond! When we asked if they were open, the following day. As I needed to catch the bus, which wasn't far from the shop. The lovely lady then said she will open the shop early just so I can get a coffee. Which is amazing! They were lovely staff in the morning too. It made my whole trip, unforgettable service, lovely people. They go beyond to help. Fantastic food and coffee with brilliant people. I will always go when I go back to Wareham. They deserve a lot more then just 5...
