Golden Bite — Restaurant in England

Unfortunately they're hit and miss, if the lady is frying the are usually really nice. She is so friendly and always says hello. If the gentleman is frying I'd try and avoid, he never seems to want to be there and the batter is soggy on the inside and the last few times we've had them we have found 2 fish together which makes it grey and not as nice. Went at 4.30 just as it opened. I think we got lunchtimes fish and chips refried for teatime. The fish was overcooked, the fish was dry and the batter was hard and very brown instead of golden and crispy. The chips were overcooked and dry also just hard bits instead of proper chips. The fish and chips are awesome and plentiful. Great value for money. I have to say though I get very anxious about ordering anything that is special order as the guy in the back gives off a look as though you are being inconvenient.
