I had a really enjoyable experience at Golden Grill in Boscombe, and the platter I ordered was the highlight of my visit. From the start, the place felt welcoming, with a nice, clean setup and friendly staff who greeted me warmly. The service was quick but not rushed, which made the meal more relaxed and pleasant.
The platter itself was excellent and well worth the price. It came with a generous variety of items, including perfectly cooked chicken, tender lamb, and sides that were both fresh and flavourful. The meat was juicy, nicely seasoned, and had that smoky grilled taste you really look forward to. Nothing was greasy or overcooked; everything was done just right. The fresh salad added a crisp touch, and the warm flatbread tied it all together beautifully.
I was also impressed with the sauces that came with the platter. The garlic and chilli dips were rich, creamy, and full of flavour. They really elevated the meal and showed attention to detail.
Overall, the food was delicious, the portion size was generous, and the atmosphere made it a comfortable place to enjoy dinner. I left satisfied and will definitely return again soon for...
Read moreFrom the outside, Golden Grill House appears to be a classic Turkish kebab restaurant. The display fridge at the entrance is filled with tempting-looking dishes, giving the impression of a place that takes pride in its food. Naturally, I had high expectations.
I ordered the Kofte Kebab, anticipating the bold yet balanced seasoning typical of Turkish cuisine. However, what arrived was something different. Instead of the subtle, well-rounded spicing that allows the flavour of the meat to shine, the kebab was heavily seasoned with an overpowering mix of spices, more reminiscent of Middle Eastern-style kebabs than a true Turkish dish. Unfortunately, the essence of a proper Turkish kofte was lost under this excess of seasoning.
While the restaurant’s branding and menu suggest an authentic Turkish dining experience, the flavours lean more towards Middle Eastern cuisine. If you’re looking for a genuine taste of Turkish kebabs, this may not be the...
Read moreIn my opinion, the kebab dishes were tasty and the prices were quite reasonable. However, something happened that I had never experienced before and I honestly couldn’t believe it. My wife, our two young children and I were just finishing our meal – we were still drinking our beverages – when a waiter came over and asked us when we would be leaving the table. At first, I didn’t understand what he meant. I asked, ‘Do you mean you want us to leave? Why?’ He explained that new customers had arrived and were waiting for a table, so he wanted to know when we would be finished. I told him that we were nearly done with our food and still drinking, and that we would probably leave in about 10 minutes. Apparently, that seemed too long for him, and he looked annoyed. My wife also felt upset by the situation and suggested we just leave. Then we left immediately from restaurant. It was very disrespectful, and because of this experience we will never...
