Seabird Fish & Chips — Restaurant in England

Edited my review in response to the owner:

I ordered my food through Just Eat and it never arrived. Eventually I was told on the app to phone the restaraunt and after a couple of tries I finally got through. I was told by staff that their driver had tried to deliver my food but I didn't answer. This is false as I was sat by the front window all evening, no one came up the driveway, no one knocked on the door, and the CCTV shows that no one came to the house that night. The owner also says the driver rung the doorbell however we don't have one meaning either the driver went to the wrong house or the owner is lying. I was told on the phone that there was nothing the restaraunt could do and that I wasn't going to get my food so I should contact Just Eat for a refund. There was no mention of them coming out again with a new order so again either this is a lie or they went back on what I was told and went to a different house again. After getting through to Just Eat and arranging my refund I received a barrage of calls which I later found out were from the restaraunt, I don't answer unknown numbers and after I looked up where the number was from as far as I was concerned there was no need to contact the restaraunt as I would not be getting my food and my refund had...

Had a fantastic meal for four at Seabird. We were thrilled by the extensive vegan menu and ordered a range of items including the tofish, banana blossom fish, battered sausage, nuggets, large portion of chips, sweet potato chips, smoothies, oat milk shake, mushy peas, baked beans, and biscoff puff pastry. They also provided free vegan sauces (tartare, mayo, garlic mayo) and some biryani to try (not what we were expecting at a fish and chip shop but it was free and very tasty so an added bonus!). Everything we ate was delicious. Portions were generous; we cleared our plates because it was all so tasty, but left feeling very full! The tofish didn't taste like fish - flavour and texture was closer to falafel - but I judge food based on how tasty it is rather than how closely it replicates a dead animal, so I was very happy with it! Banana blossom looked and tasted more like fish and was also very nice. Thoroughly recommend both dishes. Kids happily polished off the sausages and nuggets. We all enjoyed the chips. The chocolate oat shake was divine. Service was also outstanding; really friendly, helpful and welcoming. And the food was very good value given the quality and portion size. Don't walk or drive past this place......the fish is as white as can be,chunky crispy chips,great selection of food from fish salads to hummus wraps etc. My daughters a veggie so she loved the wonderful choice she was given.....great job for a fish n chips shop. (I resent the 1star that a previous customer gave),as hers was very tasty and not greasy at all. Friendly staff,helpful and we did wait however if rather have it cooked freshly than have soggy batter/chips that have sat in a warmer! The mushy peas were a bit too liquid or I would have given 5*s....hey 8 out of 9 items is still great! The decor was really eyecatching and spotlessly clean,as were the toilets. It might not look much from the outside...do visit,you won't be disappointed and we will be happy to return again whenever In boscombe. Well done to...
