Boscombe Beach in Bournemouth is a true coastal treasure that offers a perfect mix of relaxation and fun. The beach itself is stunning, with golden sands that stretch for miles and clear, inviting waters. It’s the ideal spot for a peaceful day by the sea, whether you’re looking to sunbathe, swim, or just enjoy a leisurely walk along the shore.
One of the best things about Boscombe Beach is its slightly quieter atmosphere compared to the more central Bournemouth Beach. It’s a fantastic place for families, with plenty of space for kids to play and a more laid-back vibe that makes it easy to unwind. The beach is also well-kept, with clean facilities and plenty of amenities nearby, including cafes, ice cream stands, and beach shops.
For those seeking a bit more activity, Boscombe Beach has a lot to offer. The Boscombe Pier is a charming feature, perfect for a stroll, and there are various water sports available, like paddleboarding and surfing, which add an extra layer of excitement to your visit.
Overall, Boscombe Beach is a wonderful destination that combines natural beauty with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly spot, a place to enjoy water sports, or simply a peaceful beach day, Boscombe Beach has something for everyone. It’s a must-visit if you’re in the...
Read moreWhen summer arrives, Bournemouth is usually one of my go to destinations. But let’s be honest judging by the crowds, many people feel the same way, and sometimes it turns into a stressful experience rather than a relaxing day at the beach. Space is limited, and it can get overwhelming.
That’s why I was so glad to discover Boscombe Beach. Recently, with hotel prices in Bournemouth getting higher and higher, I decided to stay here instead and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The beach is less crowded, the overall vibe is calmer, and prices for accommodation are relatively more reasonable.
On top of that, Bournemouth is still close enough to reach by foot or bike, so you don’t miss out on the city experience either. In my opinion, Boscombe is a really smart alternative if you want to enjoy the seaside without the chaos. Highly...
Read moreParking at the beachfront was ok I guess at £13.50 but drive further down the parking area for many more spaces. Also, parallel park if you don’t want your car doors dented by someone next to you!
DON’T buy Fish & Chips there!!! My local chippy does mini fish & chips for £2.50, If you do buy here, it’ll cost you a staggering £12.50 and the fish is the size of a 3 year old child’s hand, with about 10 chips!
They also do a “kids” portion which I can only imagine would consist of a battered goldfish with 2 chips!!
My advice is to take your own picnic!
The beach itself was very nice and the sea was blue (not the usual muddy brown) and there were lots of sailing ships on the ocean to look at. On the whole, a terrific beach but keep your money in your pocket as everything is well and truly overpriced for...
