I coulnt comment on the rooms as we only had dinner here. After reading reviews we decided to book a table. We were welcomed at the bar area and taken to our table in the restaurant which was very nice. Our waiter brought some nice cold water to the table whilst we looked through our menus, some sourdough rolls were given to us which were lovely and fresh. We chose the sharing platter which was very nice and well presented. It came with, Prawns, Scallops, beautiful liver pate, flat bread, olives, hummus and pork belly spring rolls. For main course we were all very happy with the taste and the presetaion, i went for the Scottish Venison which was beautifully cooked. Whilst reading reviews many people commented on the apple desert, so i thought i should give it a try. Im glad i did it was so well presented and cleverly made the different elements and taste were really nice. I would visit again and recommend anyone visiting Grassington to give this restaurant a go.

This review involves the restaurant. We had booked ahead for a table since we were dining on a Sunday night. We sat in the glass enclosed extension which offered a lovely view of the center square of the village. I ordered the Mushroom Lentil Wellington which was presented beautifully and tasted even better. Licorice Ice Cream for dessert was unique and delicious, and the cappuccino was served with a lovely hand made chocolate that added even more to the experience. The clientele were dressed in more formal attire, the first that I had seen on our trip, perhaps because it was Sunday evening? Overall, the food was delicious. The only issue would be parking. Spaces seem to be very limited.

Great hotel, bar, and restaurant on the square of Grassington. The rooms had a unique design, and the staff were friendly. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, but everything else was great. There was parking included on site. The restaurant served delicious food. We were told that there was a previous review stating that the fish and chips were too small, but that is definitely not true because they were huge! Breakfast was good. The hotel also offered a unique dining experience in an outdoor pod. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning on staying in Grassington.

Grassington House is in a lovely location and we were booked in for dinner with an overnight stay. The room was convenient for the reception area, dining area and bar but a little on the small side. We are not big people but there was nowhere to place our overnight bags and when getting ready we were manoeuvring around each other. The bath in the ensuite was huge, so a bonus there.|Dinner was disappointing. My husband ordered oysters as a starter. The oyster starter was with a sauce but my husband wanted them plain with just tabasco. We were expecting nice fresh oysters but they appeared to have been removed from their shells and then put back in for display purposes. They didn't appear their freshest and as a result he only ate two. We did point this out to the waiter at the time and an explanation was given - the chef was expecting to cook with them - but no real apology and certainly no adjustment on the bill. My husbands fish mains was again disappointing and he ate very little. After the meal we opted to go back to the bar area and asked for a coffee and brandy. The coffee machine had been turned off so all that could be offered was filter coffee. There was no XO brandy in the bar. We declined the coffee and retired. The breakfast the next morning was excellent. Everything freshly prepared and 'no buffet' help yourself arrangement - thank goodness! I dislike eating breakfast from a buffet table as everything has a tendency to be dry or suffering from over exposure to heating lamps. |To sum up, we would stay again but insist on a different room and probably opt to eat an evening...

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful two-night stay at Grassington House from August 30th to September 1st, and we are already thinking of our return. This charming hotel is an absolute gem in every sense of the word.||We were fortunate enough to enjoy both breakfast and dinner twice during our stay, and each meal was excellent. The food is, without a doubt, a star of the show. The emphasis on locally sourced ingredients is clear, and the chef and his talented team transform them into something truly special. Every plate was a burst of creative, delicious flavor, beautifully presented. It’s fine dining at its most enjoyable, elegant yet unpretentious and deeply satisfying. The breakfasts were equally fresh and impressive, setting us up perfectly for the day ahead.||The excellence of the food in the restaurant is matched only by the superb service in the hotel. Every member of the team was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, making us feel incredibly welcome. Their recommendations were always spot-on, and it’s clear they take great pride in what they do.||The ambiance of Grassington House is another huge draw. The building itself is stylish and full of quirky character, sumptuously decorated to feel both cozy and elegant. We loved spending time in the bar area for a pre-dinner drink, and our room was beautifully appointed and luxurious.||Our stay was a perfect blend of exquisite food, impeccable service, and a delightful atmosphere. Thank you to Sue, the chef, and the entire team for a memorable experience. We cannot recommend it highly enough and will...

Just back from a three night stay at Grassington house. We would have stayed longer but they were fully booked. Describing the hotel as a restaurant with rooms does not give it justice. This is a beautiful boutique hotel set in a prominent position in lovely Grassington. Run by a husband and wife team - Sue and John, the attention to detail is apparent from the moment you arrive.

Despite our first visit we were welcomed as regulars and quickly shown to our room. The stunning Room 10 on the second floor, with a gorgeous view over the square. Rooms are all individually designed and styled to a high spec.

The lady that welcomed us explained their COVID policy and how our room would be effectively our ‘bubble’ for our stay. They had obviously really spent a lot of time planning and putting policies and procedures in place to minimise contact and the overall risk – we felt very COVID safe.

We ate at Grassington house twice during our stay we were not disappointed. Amazing local traditional produce with a modern twist. I really enjoyed the prawns and My husband loved the rag pudding - which has apparently won awards.

But what really makes Grassington houses is the personal touch and their understanding that each customer is an individual with differing needs. And that comes from the staff this attitude was apparent in every member of staff we encounter.

We loved our stay and would 100% recommend and are already looking to book...
