Having not been here for a while we decided to pop in. The new porch and chairs outside were a surprise but not as much as the refurbishment inside. The place looks modern, fresh and inviting. I expected to see price hikes on the menu but found the prices were much the same and the menu also has a new look too. All the usual favourites are there, with some very welcome additions. (The pancakes with fruit and ice-cream are delicious!) There's great food for those a big feed, and likewise for those who fancy a cup of tea with a slice of toast and marmalade. Spotlessly clean and the full English was huge with top quality ingredients. Read moreI went to this cafe yesterday and ordered poached egg on toast . As I took a bite my friend said don’t eat it ! When I looked on my fork I could see mould on the bread . My friend then looked at her sausage sandwich and also noticed mould on her bread. I informed the man on tills and he offered us it again but we felt sick at that point so we asked for our money back and he did give us the money for the food but not the coffees lol! They clearly knew their bread was mouldy as the mould was not on the side the eggs were on and the mould on the sausage sarnie was on the inside !...
