Greggs — Restaurant in England

Well it's been a while so a quick update bacon still crap at 7am when they open and now the prices have gone up substantially bakes on display prices in bold are eat out only to eat in prices are only visible with a magnifying glass and really for the price We paid today I could have gone to Toby carvery and got 2 Unlimited breakfasts!!! Greggs cheap !!??? Not any more shame as We like going there staff are lovely but not for the prices. Not anymore I'm afraid.

Only issue with food is at 7am when place opens the bacon should be freshly cooked but often it looks like its been in the bainmarie for several hours as I am someone who cooks bacon for a living I know the difference between crispy and should be thrown away. Food and pastries always seem dry and overcooked (sausage rolls let the side down here in comparison to most Greggs) and rarely ready when you go in, despite it always being empty (except Saturdays when the minimal staff struggle to cope). Staff in the main polite but somewhat disinterested. Made the mistake of buying two good to go bags the other day and although supposed to be £12 of value inside found 3 of the worst items Greggs sell with a combined RRP of £7 (when fresh!!) and one included basic tuna sandwich (other was basic egg!) which I don’t like eating OOD! First time I've ever experienced eating in a Greggs with live repairs going on around me and my family. Two chaps flew up some step ladders at different ends of the restaurant and went up into the ceiling. It was strangely reassuring to see the commitment of Greggs to keep everything in good working order. They moved around us as if we weren't there-very professional.
