We got 4 free tickets for the relaunch, so I brought my partner and my parents with me - none of us have ever been to Wagamama's before so we were unsure what to expect! All I can say is that we thoroughly enjoyed our night out and the food was delicious! The chicken gyoza ramen was perfectly balanced and a very big portion. My mum had a duck dish and asked for less spice which they accommodated which was lovely of them. My dad had a curry which was again very nice apart from the red chillies! As it was a free event the service was a little lacking - but coming from a hospitality background I could see they were all working very hard and were quite literally rushed off their feet so it's understandable but I have to admit if I was paying I would have probably walked out after waiting until after our food arrived to receive our drinks. Only other thing was that it was very noisy in there and seemed to echo, so a bit hard for my parents to have a conversation as they are slightly hard of hearing but the atmosphere was nice and welcoming 😊 But I can say that all the staff were very helpful and very friendly and also apologetic when things took slightly longer so they are a credit to the store - I think as it was opening night they were just more stressed! I couldn't finish the whole of mine so I asked for a box and was able to take mine home and my dad's starter only came out as we were leaving so we also took that one home. Desserts were all really nice as well and well presented. But I will definitely be back again soon as the food was amazing and so nice that it is freshly prepared quite literally in front of you. A big shout out to our server - Olivia 😊

Wagamamas is nice but I would say on the pricey side. We recently went to Wagamama’s and had the Beef Tataki (Lightly seared, marinated steak, thinly sliced and served chilled, dressed with citrus ponzu and mayonnaise, served with pickled beetroot and coriander) for starter alongside the Duck Wraps with Asian Pancakes and Cherry Hoisin (personally I wasn’t a fan of the cherry hoisin, I like normal hoisin sauce but this one was far too sweet and tasted of artificial cherry). For mains my other half had the Tantanmen Beef Brisket Ramen (Korean barbecue beef brisket, served on a bed of noodles in an extra rich chicken broth, topped with half a tea-stained egg, menma, kimchee and spring onions, finished with coriander and chilli oil) and I had the Yaki Soba + Chicken (Soba noodles with egg, peppers, beansprouts, white and spring onions, garnished with fried shallots, pickled ginger and sesame seeds). To drink I had the Pink Peppercorn Gin & Tonic. The staff at Wagamama are friendly and welcoming and the service is quick. The food is nice and overall Wagamamas is lovely and it’s great to have one at the Mall, Cribbs Causeway as for me it’s one of the healthier options to eat but I would say it is pricey for what it is.

The food as always was superb. The chap who took our order was very pleasant and by far the best. I had the Pad Thai which was delicious. The glass we were given for water wasn’t clean. We asked for another glass & they brought a new one back with tap water. That got sorted too after we complained. However, there is one big problem at Wagamama in Cribbs after they did recent work on the restaurant. There is a huge expanse of floor to ceiling glass (probably 15-20 metres high) at the far end. We went in at 5.30 and the sun is glaring and is right on you. People are moving round the restaurant trying to sit somewhere out of the sun. Everyone is sitting as close to the front of the restaurant as possible. Blinds or some other solution is desperately needed as it’s too bright and uncomfortably hot. When the sun moves round I suspect it’s somewhat better. The area manager needs to sort that out.

Dining at Wagamama in Bristol Cribbs Causeway. This popular restaurant chain offers a unique take on Asian cuisine, blending traditional flavors with a modern twist, and the Bristol location upholds this delicious tradition with flair.

The atmosphere at Wagamama is lively and welcoming as it's within the Cribbs Causeway open area dining location. The open kitchen design allows you to see the chefs in action, preparing dishes with precision and care. This adds an exciting and authentic touch to the dining experience, making each visit special.

The menu is diverse, featuring a range of dishes that cater to various tastes and dietary needs. From the famous katsu curry to innovative vegan options, every dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The ramen bowls are particularly noteworthy, offering a comforting and hearty meal, perfect for any day.

Considering the queues that often form for entry to this restaurant, one would expect it to be a very high grade estblishment. Instead, it is crowded, with the tables much too close together. Bench seating which is fine, but not conducive to a relaxed meal.

The staff were friendly enough, but there was a sense of them being too rushed to give attention to customers.

The food was well prepared and hot on arrival. However, the restaurant has a policy of presenting the meals to customers as and when it is ready. The claim is that this means that the customer gets freshly prepared food that has not been sitting on the pass for any length of time. However, the result is that each member of the party will have their food delivered at different times. As a result, either you have to delay eating until everyone has their meal, resulting in cold food, or you eat your meal on your own and your friends and family watch you while they wait for their food. During our visit, my meal arrived after a fairly lengthy delay. To ensure that I ate hot food, I hd to start eating. Then one of the children had his food delivered when I was half way through mine. Finally, as I was finishing my meal, and the boy was half way through his, the other meal was delivered. This policy is not very user friendly.

I have had takeaways from this chain of restaurant, in the past, and had no complaints. Therefore, I was looking forward to sitting down to enjoy a meal. Following this experience, however, I will not be visiting this...
