Greko Beverley — Restaurant in England

Absolutely incredible food and a great atmosphere! Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the rushed 1.5-hour time slot, which is simply not enough to enjoy a cocktail, savor a 5–6 course meal, and share a bottle of wine with your partner. Just as I finished my last dish, the waitress started gathering up our drinks and moving us to the bar to make room for the next guests, and she was quite abrupt, clearly focused on seating the next party. It felt more like a production line than a dining experience, with the priority seeming to be turnover rather than guest enjoyment.

They need to find a better balance or extend the time slot to at least 2 hours to allow diners to fully enjoy their meals. To add to the confusion, we were even offered dessert moments before we were ushered out—were we expected to eat it at the bar while finishing our wine?

I’ve seen similar feedback from other guests who also felt rushed. It’s such a shame because the food and initial service were excellent, and this experience could have been truly special. First visit to Greko as a treat for my Fiancee and mother in law to be.. After a short wait standing near the bar for a table to be sorted we were given the menus and asked if we had dined there before. As we hadn't the menu was explained to us and any questions answered.

Drinks ordered came quickly and we ordered a broad choice of dishes.. Now here comes the "very" pleasant surprise.. the quality and freshness of the food really shone through.. the Hummus was divine.. the pitta warm and soft..the salad fresh substantial..but the stars of the show were the prawns..the pork balls and the kings were the lamb chops!😍 Top quality.. flame grilled..juicy pink and succulent! We all really enjoyed our food! One small detail that could be addressed.. the dining space was sparsley decorated.. giving it an echo chamber effect.. no soft furnishings or surfaces to absorb sound..which made it very difficult to hold a civilised conversation.. Apart from that..a very enjoyable...

My experiences with Greek cuisine have been somewhat limited, but I must say this restaurant pleasantly surprised me. The service was outstanding—the staff were attentive, welcoming, and impressively knowledgeable about the menu, which was especially helpful given my lack of expertise.

The food was truly out of this world. While I had tasted popular dishes like Tzatziki and Hummus before, their unique take on these classics was incredibly delicious. Each dish felt like a fresh, flavourful discovery.

The restaurant has more of a tapas-style approach, where you order several dishes to share, which I found to be a great way to experience a variety of flavours. While the menu might seem somewhat limited at first glance, it actually made choosing easier, allowing you to focus on a well-curated selection of dishes.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience with exceptional food. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Greek...
