Disappointing. Food was nice. Unfortunately, the scallops for our starters hadn't been cleaned properly and were very gritty. Main course was the crayfish, mussel and crab linguine in creamy white wine sauce, this had no crab whatsoever in it, the crayfish was thoroughly overcooked and chewy, and the whole dish was swimming in sauce. The service was the worst part however. The staff were friendly enough, but didn't really do anything other than take our order and bring our food. The table wasn't laid when we were seated, rather than bringing cutlery after we ordered, this was done after food was bought out, one set of cutlery each for starters, which meant a second set had to be provided after the mains were bought to the table. The waiter decided to serve a cold starter to another table in between bringing our food and getting our cutlery, a spoon would have been appreciated seeing as we ordered linguine. My partner had finished her drink during her starter, no-one offered a second and she had to fight to catch the waiters eye half way through the main course. There was not single check back, in fact, at no point we're we asked how our food was, or if we enjoyed it. Dessert was offered, but we decided we didn't want to risk it. I would have tipped on card given the option (which I wasn't), so we asked to change a £10 for two £5 notes, they didn't have any, so settled for a tray of pound coins, so left lass than £5. The staff did them selves out of a tip that they didn't earn. Very strange not to be able to leave a tip on a card, seeing that we have just been in the midst of a global pandemic. Wouldn't go back, wouldn't recommend.

Arrived at midday to an empty restaurant and ordered the small F&Cs and a beer, at a nice table with pleasant view of the berths. Food arrived, but not as described: no peas that were 'crushed' nor lemon? Then finding more than half the chips were dregs of the fryer/chipbag, not rustic. With no question on whether my meal was ok, I left after finishing the beer and gave the person in charge the chip bits advising they should not have left the kitchen and declining an offer of free beer or coffee; its about the experience not freebies. My experience ranked as per the images and it could have easily been more pleasant.

A small, modern restaurant with more seating on the outdoor deck than in the building. Had lunch there in a really hot day and was grateful to be seated by the fully open, wall-wide doors. I was a bit disappointed because their fish delivery hadn’t arrived. I had wanted to try the sea bass. Settled for a burger, which was good, but when I eat out I expect a little more than something I could get in TFI Friday. But I’m splitting hairs here. The mussels looked good. Maybe I should have plumped for those.

In the past it was almost impossible to get a table , however on one occasion we popped in on spec during the day and were delighted to fill a cancellation. On that visit , we could not fault the experience and resolved to return . This year we booked in advance of the holiday and we’re looking forward to a nice meal. The waitress was a nice young lady who served us pre meal drinks promptly. Three of us had starters , I had a bread and oil “side” instead. The meals seemed to take rather a long time in arriving , three of us had the pan fried hake ,which was the second most expensive item on the menu , after two mouthfuls I felt something sharp dig into my tongue and was horrified to remove three quite long bones from my mouth. After further examination of the fish , more bones and what appeared to be a small amount of backbone were found After dissecting the remainder no more bones were discovered . Having arranged the “debris “ on the side of my plate, I pointed it out to the waitress on completion of the course .She said “ Ooh , sorry , I’ll tell the chef “ to which I replied that fortunately I didn’t choke. The chef did not appear to be over bothered , as no apology or compensatory offer was made . I didn’t bother with a sweet. I’ve never been for a meal where the highlight was the bread and oil side which I have to say was delicious. Suffice to say I will not be breaking my neck to repeat the experience. This is one customer who does not “ Harbour his views”

We have been home from holiday for over a month , which I feel is ample time for the owner of this establishment to honour us with a reaction. However it would appear that his attitude mirrors that of the chef . That I am unimpressed would be an understatement and I make no...

We picked this based on reviews and booked a table in advance. We were only given a verbal confirmation and when we asked for an email confirmation, we were asked to email in. But all good, our table was ready for us and it was a nice view.

However, we were greeted with "Apologies, we are out of steak and out of soup" and this was a saturday at 7pm. Maybe running out late in the evening, but not so early. Unfortunately, the steak was my wifes choice of main and the soup was my choice of starter. I asked what larger there was, and was only given one choice, a Checz larger, which was nice enough. As a result of no soup, I didn't have a starter. My wife asked for the scallops. The scallops were delivered to the next table and then taken away, with my wife running after the waiter saying "they are mine". The came with some bread which, since I hadn't had a starter, I picked up to tuck in to only for the waiter to come running back and take it off the table and despite me saying "I've touched that" he gave it to the table behind us.

It did get better with the mains, but not much of a gap between meals and when I ordered a tall cocktail, it came served in a half pint larger glass rather than a cocktail glass.

The food was fine, but nothing special. So overall, I can't see what all the fuss is about and I...
