We went in as it was on our way back from a trip. We looked at the menue and ordered a veg burrito which was nice and chicken tacos which were a bit dry but overall nice. The only problem was that the food was extremely overpriced for a restaurant on the side of the road. But since it seemed fresh we did not mind and the portion size was pretty good. What we did mind actually was that we mindlessly ordered fries, it wasn’t written on the menu but they said they had fries. It was a very small portion of fries which was okay until the bill came and we realised the fries were 8.5 pounds! For a small plate of fries! Plus they got mayo or something like that with it and charged an extra 1 pound for it! It wasn’t even that great and we didn’t even ask for it. So just be cautious going in. The food is great but i think the fact that they don’t have a printed menu and can price anything however they want is...
Read moreHigh quality 'Cali-Style' Mexican restaurant by the sea... I have visited Harry's a number of times now and have always enjoyed the atmosphere, though the food is the real draw here. High quality ingredients, each item cooked to order and always fresh - even the simple dishes have a depth of flavour. I've especially enjoyed 'Taco Tuesday' and 'Taco Thursday', they're great value and it's great to be able to taste all the fillings of the day, usually there are meat, fish and veggie options available. There are a good selection of sides, the fries are never frozen, the coleslaw has a kick and is homemade. There is certainly a focus on making sure you really enjoy the food and you don't feel seen as just another customer. Having a breakfast burrito with a decent (and strong) coffee is also not really available anywhere else, but is my ideal start to the day. To end it, there's always...
Read moreHarrys Bodega is a Tapas bar. They appear to have a decent selection behind the bar. Would have liked to have tried the wine but stuck to the one draught lager they stocked instead. Staff did say they normally have 2 draught beers. We were initially the only couple in there at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. I was relieved when more people arrived to help the atmosphere. The seating is on wooden seats and benches. The menu is on chalk boards on the wall. I personally found this a little confusing and would have preferred something written down with a little explanation of the dishes on offer. The food was good with decent size plates for tapas. The prices are reasonable too. I suggest you book since it isn't very big and it closes at 9pm most nights from what...
