Overall a disappointing-to-average experience. Pros: food good quality and polite staff. Cons: overpriced for cookie dough portion size, and had to wait a longer time than anticipated. Popped in for takeaway desserts on a Monday eve (approx 8pm). Was told to I would have to wait 10 mins for desserts (ordered two cookie dough desserts from the menu). Ended up waiting for 20 mins for both desserts. Staff were polite and apologetic for the wait, but didn't explain why. Place was clean with a couple of people sitting-in (expected on a Monday eve). However, I appreciate this was during the COVID-19 pandemic, so services may not be at usual levels, hence the longer wait. However when I got home, this was the size of the dessert given - one cookie (no bigger than 7cm diameter). Having paid £14.30 for both desserts (£7.20 for the pictured dessert) I was very unimpressed, as I would expect a larger portion size for the price paid. However, the food was tasty, still warm, and the ice-cream was high quality. Overall disappointed at having to wait for one heated cookie - would have expected it for £5 max and a 10 min wait. Have eaten-in at the Rushden Lake branch of Heavenly Desserts restaurant and have never been disappointed in the portion size with price paid. Have had to wait, due to it being busy, but that is expected on a Friday eve. Unsure if portion size deliberately smaller for takeaway service in Northampton perhaps?

**I'LL HAVE WHAT SHE'S HAVING £8.95** The American-style waffle is wonderfully crispy, with just the right thickness and texture. Paired with delicious chocolate sauce, it's very tasty. What I appreciate the most is that they didn’t pile on a large of cream, but instead added a scoop of Stracciatella Gelato, making it feel less greasy and heavy, everything matches perfectly. The fresh strawberries not too sour, together with the strawberry sauce, waffle, and gelato, it’s very satisfying! **Chocolate & Pralines Torte £8.75** This dish is composed of a chocolate and hazelnut praline torte, chocolate hazelnut mochi, and a salted caramel cream shot. The salted caramel cream shot is as intense as an espresso—though it’s quite sweet and could be a bit overwhelming on its own, pouring it over the cake or even the waffle makes it absolutely delicious. **Gelato** The gelato is smooth in texture, and two scoops are only £4.25, which is quite reasonable. The scoops are large, leaving the kids very satisfied—they couldn't even finish it in the end! The pistachio was the best, and the mango sorbet was also very tasty. The renovation is good, the plating is also quite delicate, and the taste suits my preference, so now have an excuse to visit frequently.

Goodness, I come here quite often. And on this occasion I am left disappointed. Some of the desserts we wanted were not available. So we opted for cornflake tart, which was burnt and had to sent back! Then we ordered cookie dough and the vanilla ice cream that was served had ice chunks. We also ordered one of the new drinks of the new menu, lychee/rose martini - this had to be sent back because it tasted like rose water, so they took it back and re made this for us, it was much better! We also ordered a latte, this had no sugar, so we asked for sugar, we were told this would be brought to our table… we are still waiting on that sugar btw. Also ordered pomegranate mojito, worst thing ever! So we ordered three drinks, and couldnt drink it because of how bad it was! Will not be returning for awhile… also uploaded pictures of drinks in the state we left it… couldn’t drink anymore!

I decided to visit “Heavenly desserts” this afternoon. Was expecting a good customer service and a pleasant atmosphere however this did not happen. I can’t deny waffle and crepe was nice. We ordered orange juice and we ended up receiving “sparkling” orange juice. I checked the app(as we were asked to order through the app) it does say on the menu “ORANGE JUICE”. The taste was horrible seemed like they mixed sparkling water with some orange juice. We informed one of the staff member that this is not we ordered and on the menu does not say that it is going to be “sparkling juice”. Instead of apologising, I was showed a photograph of juice carton and advised to check menu once again. The staff member was trying to prove that juice isn’t sparkling at all. Whilst was trying to deal with this problem my friend asked where her milkshake is. The female staff member surprisingly asked “milkshake?” We managed to finish eating crepe, waffle and talk about “orange juice” and she still was waiting for her milkshake. They even did not see her order(she ordered through the app). Then she was asked to wait a few minutes. My friend decided not to wait as we finished our deserts. She requested to get a refund. She paid £6, and they only wanted to give her £5.60 back. She was not happy at all. Staff members were talking to the manager on the phone and was trying to pass the phone onto my friend so could ask her to accept £5.60 refund and talk about the remaining £0.40 the next day. This is very poor customer service. Only then they were threatened to be reported they took cash from the till. No apologies, no “goodbye”. This place should review who they decide to employ to represent this...

I have been many times before but the worst service today.

We was literally the only table left at 6pm as others either ate or were leaving think there was only 2 others.

Unfortunately I found out 6pm on a Sunday is the worst time to come here. Basically the staff swap over that time and no one is interested. One staff came and sat on the waiting sofa in his coat until the clock hit 6pm before going upstairs and coming to help the others whilst the one serving us couldn’t wait to go and no polite message that the 2 that had just come on will bring us will bring us our drinks causing us to gain their attention and ask again!

We ordered 2 drinks one strawberry milkshake and one mojito and 2 glasses of water with 2 deserts.

The deserts came but no sign of the drinks or water despite asking 2/3 times.

The waitress said there were many takeaway orders and their focus is clearly on takeaways and probably explains why such a huge restaurant sits empty?

I did ask if they could just get me water but seemed like they needed to go to a water well and it was not so easy! When the mojito came was very poor and simply lemonade.

If you’re hoping for a quick desert don’t come here. If you have lots of time on your hands then do.

If you want ambience or good service don’t...
