Idah's the artisan bakery ltd — Restaurant in England

Idah's isn't just a patisserie it's an institution, at least among local tradesmen. In addition to an array of fresh cakes and doughnuts they are easily the best sandwich shop in town offering a selection of classic fillings such as lamb & mint (my favourite), chinese chicken, hot bacon & sausage, or I suppose you could just have ham if you wanted to, served in a choice of fresh breads and rolls with spread or (most importantly) real butter, salad, and topped off with freshly ground salt & pepper, to take away in paper bags. If you don't fancy a sandwich Idah's have a hot food display containing various pies, pasties, pizzas and sausage rolls.

Prices are very reasonable, although bottled drinks are a bit cheaper in the Premier...

Today I made my third visit to purchase a large wholemeal loaf. There were many people in the shop. I requested the loaf from the server, who consulted a second server. This server shouted, in front of everyone, that I had to pre-order the loaf. There was not indication of this requirement in the store. I stated that this was not the situation on my previous two visits whereupon she angrily reiterated that I had to pre-order! With everyone looking at me I left the store suitably embarrassed. This is not customer service and I will NEVER EVER use this...

I gave 3 * purely because they don’t wear gloves. Thinking they touch money and the till and the card reader that’s too much dirt, the least they can do is to wear those plastic gloves. Their food is very nice but the thought of handling it with bare hands is disgusting... look at sands, it’s very expensive but because they are clean and wear gloves makes one buy there.. and most people are students and can’t afford sands, but because they are left with no choice, they resort to Idas but we all know it’s...
