Rude rude staff, who bully an use aggressive style behavioral tactics to try and control the audience while at a MUSIC CONCERT. No signage or announcements stating at either the venue or on the ticketing event information at all about there being no permission to film or take pictures. Staff would walk around with flash lights distracting from the performance to scream and attempt to bully you into submitting to there radical set of rules in a very unprofessional manor, one elderly blonde lady who's clearly missed the fun of the 70s and never smiled or enjoyed the pleasures of life was particularly wretched and appeared to have it out for us. We were respectful, considerate and minding our own business sat in our seats enjoying the show and taking pics and videos (as you do) She came over, physically played her hands and screamed at my mother who wasnt making any trouble and simply taking a video of the band she has adored for so long screaming " no video no video" (news flash a simple and kinder approach and explanation as to why goes a long way) this mere steward (not even a security representative) was even attempting to bat the phone out of her hand, was shocking and outrageous to see such callous, spiteful display of disrespect and lack of utter lack of empathy from a supposed human being. During the FINAL song she had the audacity to tell the gentleman sat next to us off for, (you guessed it) taking a picture (as if no one else in the audience wasn't doing the exact same thing). Told her to leave us alone and to open her eyes and look around as she was clearly lost and didnt know where she was and how EVERYONE in that audience was filming and taking pictures EVERYONE, felt very much targeted. After i questioned her, asking for some kind of rational reason/ explanation she went silent and resorted to screaming at us again. She could obviously tell I was not one so easily bullied like she had treated other members of the audience and backed off. Left a rather sour taste in my mouth and I would imagine many of the other members of the audience, we didnt let this ruin our night and continued to dance and smile and cheer for the artists doing a terrific job in stage. Got some brilliant pictures and videos from the night. "Stick it to the man, power to the people!".... Never thought I'd had to advocate that right a rock concert however in the great words and spirit of Patti Smith "People...
Read moreWhat can I say about Q James Bond Spectacular concert last night? Well, it was that good that we both left at the interval.
We both felt that there was something missing along with lots of distortion and only two people singing all the songs and because of excessive distortion you could not hear the words.
There were no strings, so we were subject to the 13-piece band instead of the 18 with no violins, viola, cello or double bass which should have been there to make John Barry's music flow and make it more authentic.
Caroline Bliss a former Miss Moneypenny did her best to maintain a sort of composure and told us what I already knew except that there was a possibility of Frank Sinatra could have sung Moonraker instead of Dame Shirley Bassey. It wasn't Shirley's favourite song but if it hadn't been for John Barry who bumped into Shirley and asked her instead.
The female singer as good as she was ended up screaming and yelling to compensate for the missing string section, but it was no good, neither her or the keyboards could not replace the sound and left us with a constant loud hum.
By the end of the 1st half my poor wife had a bad headache and mooted she could not endure any more. We were not alone many others had already left as the car parks that were full before the start of the show were emptying.
It was an experience that we will never forget and one not to be repeated as this is the first time we left a concert before the Poor old 007 he would not want For Your Ears Only or even Licence to Shrill. It was a Dr NO NO for sure.
If Q should ever return to Bournemouth then please bring back...
Read moreMy partner & I have been to the pavillion 3 times since March. Great venue & we thoroughly enjoyed the shows each time. However, I am a wheelchair user & would like to hightlight the following points: whilst the disabled toilet is very good & very easy to use with a non slip floor & bars in appropriate places, good size etc, I do feel that the disabled seating in the theatre stheld be at the front. On two of the occassions we have been, the audience have stood up at some point during the show, & sat in row G, if you are in a chair you cannot see a thing. I very much appreciate tge financial concession which is applied to customers in my positiin but woukd personally prefer to pay & be able to see the whole show. My last point is in regards to the staff. On our first two visits they were all very helpful. Howver last night, on entering the building the automatic door did not open. Admittedly we may have missed a pad we should have pressed. My partner who walks but is also disabled was struggling to get me through the door. A male front of house member of staff approached us & said 'Let me look at that before you break it'. We felt this was very unneceabruy, abrupt & rude,as we were intending to do nothing of the sort. An attempt to help us would have been more constructive & kind. I particularly found this very unsettling. We were however later on assisted by John & Kelly to find our seats in the theatre which was a much more...
