Wow lower gardens! What can I say? The Bournemouth lower gardens are beautiful all year around, summer or winter there is always something going on! In winter you obviously have the massive light up Christmas trees, the tree which sings, you have the ice skating & wooden bar inside the ice skating, you have the light up presents and the teddy! It’s super beautiful! In the summer there’s always something going on, there will either been really on historical cars placed there where you can go look and take photos, there is the live band which plays once or twice a week in the evening and it’s nice to go have a picnic there and just listen to them, people doing gymnastics or some kind of dances, music playing! The best part about the lower gardens though is the squirrels! You can but them nuts and you put it out in your hand and they will come up and take it from your hand super gently! You might even have some squirrels come and sit on your lap if you sit down they’re super tame! The whole spirit is always so high in the lower gardens with ice cream trucks, pancake trucks, you can play mini golf as well!

A really lovely walk winding into Bournemouth town and sea front through these beautifully kept gardens. Stunning colours and floral displays during the spring and summer. The stream runs through gardens and adds that relaxing sound of running water to your walk. Plenty of benches, places to sit on the grass and picnic / play. Keep your eyes peeled for our local birds and squirrels too! Lots of signs giving direction's and timings to access places on the way! There are no public toilets in the gardens, but keep heading towards the sea and you will find some at the entrance to the pier. Plenty of bins for rubbish, so please use them and keep our beautiful places lovely for everyone, thanks! Parking in bournemouth or Westbourne and Branksome, which will give you access to this trail through the gardens that runs from Coy Pond, Branksome, to the pier at Bournemouth.

Nestled amidst Bournemouth's vibrant town and serene beach, Lower Gardens Park is a tranquil haven. Its meandering pathways wind through vibrant flower beds and bridges over gentle streams, creating a symphony of colors. The iconic birdcage stands as a vintage charm, perfect for photos and quiet moments. This park's versatility shines through. It's ideal for solo contemplation, romantic walks, or family picnics. Thoughtfully placed benches invite relaxation, while its beachside location adds to its allure. Lower Gardens Park is a captivating blend of nature's beauty and historic charm, a testament to Bournemouth's commitment to creating stunning public spaces. Whether you're a local in need of serenity or a traveler exploring, this park offers an enchanting escape that lingers in your memory.

Visited here while staying in Bournemouth, Lots of greenery and open spaces with lots of benches and places to rest, and a peaceful relaxing area, a small river runs through it, there is a crazy golf style putting area here, and some kiosks one small one sells ice-cream and some snacks etc, there's another larger one that sells food and hot and cold drinks with seating and tables outside it, there's up steps or by the slope an aviary with lots of different birds in, when this new aviary was built years ago now, they inadvertently made it with double layers of mesh that caused people to not be able to see the birds very well if at all, this has now been changed and adults and children alike can enjoy seeing them again, Take a visit when you're in Bournemouth, it's definitely worth it,

A somewhat peaceful escape from the hubbub on the sea front - and only 3 min walk from the pier! We decided to come here seeking shade and somewhere to sit and eat our picnic. Wasn’t disappointed as we found a largish green with a small river running through it. We sat on the grass in the shade of some large pine trees. There were lots of people tooing and froing, kids playing in the stream and an old guy feeding the birds. What’s more - you could hear live music performed from atop the hill. The park is stunningly looked after and the array of flowers is nice to look at. If you are looking to escape the Bournemouth sea front, if only for a moment, I’d recommend this park.

Lovely gardens. All the hard work from the gardeners to keep the floral display at its best is a pleasure for all to enjoy. Very popular to sit and enjoy, feed the friendly squirrels, play crazy golf, and the big screen was up for people to watch the Olympics and following that they had Moana film to watch. Only downside about the gardens is the public toilets could do with being updated, and there was so much litter scattered about, which was sad to see. You could see that this is a big problem, which is a shame as there are plenty of bins provided.
