Dosa World — Restaurant in England

At a regular customer to Dosa World I can say the service can be somewhat inconsistent, ranging from quick attention to occasionally being overlooked, even to the extent of needing to request water for the table. However, there's a dedicated server, Rupa, who has attended to us on several occasions, providing excellent service with a warm and friendly attitude. Always look forward to being served by her she is always quick with the requests too!

The real highlight at Dosa World is the food. I absolutely love it! Their chilli fish and paneer starters are my go-to choices, always delivering! When it comes to mains, the Lamb Biryani is a must-try! The Ghee Dosa is also delightful, but the only downside is that they don't serve enough chutney and sambar. It would be great if they included extra servings of these on the table. Although they are available on request it save guests from having to ask for more.

Food ordering at Dosa World can also be a bit of a hit-or-miss experience. It can either take a while to get your orders placed or be taken promptly, largely depending on the day and how busy they are. However, one consistent observation is that the food tends to arrive at our table at varied times. It's a bit of a mixed bag, as you'll find that no one at our table ever gets their food simultaneously. This means someone might be halfway through their meal while someone else's food has just arrived.

The atmosphere at Dosa World is also quite mixed. Depending on the day and time, it can range from being very lively and loud, especially when filled with families and big groups, to more peaceful and calm during quieter periods. This restaurant has the potential to be so much better than it is right now. I’ve been ordering from here since September 2021, it still remains the only place in BCP to get Idli and Dosa and that is a problem because there is no competition, there’s no reason to rectify the obvious deficiencies. One thing that hasn’t changed is the poor service in the restaurant and takeaway. If you call for a takeaway and you’re lucky that someone picks up to take your order, good for you. However, the experience doesn’t end there, it takes at least an hour for food to be prepared. They’re on Deliveroo but almost never able to order through the platform. Their times of business have been published with different times across several platforms. I’m in the restaurant at the moment because I couldn’t get through on the phone or Deliveroo, I’m glad that I’m not a in restaurant diner today. There are people currently waiting patiently at the tables just to have their order taken. The diners have had to almost plead for their order to be taken. It appears there is only one chef. Absolute disaster! We ordered the food to enjoy and celebrate an occasion and ended up with a great disaster spoiling the whole mood. The food was very cold and every single piece of mutton in the gravy was so hard and rubbery that we couldn't even eat one of those. All parottas were hard and cold. We ended up ordering in another place as we kept the food half way as it was that bad that we couldn't have it. Ordered around 7.45 pm and got the order only around 9.43 pm. We ordered a starter and they called in later to say that it was not there as they had some issue and when called they offered some other main course for a starter and made a huge confusion about their mistake and of a false promise to swap anything from the menu and we finally ended up asking to cancel the starter for a refund as they made a fuss about the price difference for the alternate that we chose and they weren't not able to process the order because of it.
