We had a very entertaining visit to the Jam Jar for lunch on Sunday 6 Sept earlier this year. W1 "Who are these toasties for?!" W2 "Oh, the man and the woman" W1 (oh I'll just try this couple, nope, next couple, nope, next couple) (as a couple ourselves we could have had 10 toasties if we wanted!) Customer table 1 "What wines do you have?" W1 "Erm no just beer" Customer "It looks like there's wine on a specials board over there?" W1 "Let me check" W1 (goes to find W2) W2 (goes to wrong table) "Did you ask about wine?" Customer table 2 "no it was that table over there?" W1 (goes to right table) "Here's the wine list" (They actually have table numbers and ask for your table number when ordering, so why they made their own jobs much more difficult by not actually using that information I don't know!) Anyway, it wasn't bad service, just incompetent service which we didn't really mind as it made things entertaining! We had toasties, iced coffees, a frangipane cake and a croissant. The coffees were good, toasties were tasty if a little small, the cake was great, and the croissant very stale. So 4/5 for the foods.

This review is originally for The Cosy Nook Tearoom, which is now the Jam Jar Kitchen. Still Lovely Cosy Tearoom. A must visit. Now does Pizza Evenings! This tearoom in Crantock is so easy to miss with its small entrance shrouded by hedgerows and vines. But it's a really treasure for those who do find it. The location has indoor and outdoor (with shelter) for seating and dinning. The outdoor section is beautiful with the shelter being interwoven with vines. The birds are so tame they actually eat your sprinkles of food right next to you. They have a native Robin too. The food is all local, Ham, Prawn Mayonnaise, Tuna Mayonnaise, Coleslaw is homemade. (See pictures for menu and food). The cream tea is also brilliant too. Staff are really helpful and friendly and will add items to your order and mix/match food from the menu. Hot drinks are also very nice... Particularly the hot chocolate which is almost like melted chocolate! It's very very good! All in all a brilliant tearoom and must visit.

Whenever we come down to Cornwall we always walk to Crantock with the excitement of this little gem!! It is absolutely gorgeous or lush as our lovely waitress described the scrumptious offerings! Have the lemoncello spritz sat in the sun with a pastrie it's to die for. This little place has an incredible vibe, chilled and great for couples, families or friends. You could also comfortably sit here on your own with a paper and feel well looked after. The sweet treats are delicious and having a bar for a cheeky lunch Time bev is a bonus! Just lovely, with great staff who enhance the experience! Worth a note too as outside seating the toilets are beautiful! I couldn't like it more x.

Highly Recommend! Delicious Sourdough pizzas and gorgeous atmosphere. We went to jam jar kitchen on saturday evening and had a wonderful time as a family of 6. The burrata and sourdough bread starter was a perfect intro as well as some lovely cocktails and Italian red wine. This was followed by the most delicious sourdough pizza. We had a variety to share including vegan and vegetarian but all just as yummy as each other. The chef and staff were very friendly and welcoming and the ambience was perfect. We sat under the vines and had the most perfect evening. We will definitely be back and would recommend when visiting Crantock.

Immediately I was overwhelmed by the positive aura of the staff and outside area. All of the members working there made me welcome. The sausage roll I decided upon although the pastry was slightly crumbly the flavouring of the sausage was good enough to ignore it. I had a hot chocolate and the temperature and flavours were perfect. Their bathroom had very clean standards and worked perfectly, no complaints was a 10/10 place all around

Went two nights in a row it was that good, the best pizzas I have had in my life. I have my own pizza oven so a bit of a snob but there sourdough and high end toppings were exceptional. The camembert sharer was amazing and little mozzarella ball starter oh my goodness was so good. Staff were attentive and gave ideas for extra toppings, there was a girl there maybe Carly? Who was so lovely 10/10 😍
