Absolutely great experience here (certainly when compared to the albion on the other side of the road!! - where they served us yesterdays rock hard re-heated desserts, which also looked like vomit, and the staff were arguing with each other whilst trying to serve us!). Thankfully, we decided to give the "other pub" in Crantock a go, and we're so happy we did. On arrival, the place was spotlessly clean and we we're greeted with a cherry smile. The owner, Dave, Was very friendly, letting us try various drinks before settling on a preferred choice then set up the woodburner for us to enjoy our meal... which was delicious (and very well priced (again, compared to the albion). My wagyu burger, with cheese and bacon was perfection, plus our other 3 meals were just as good (pesto/Mozzarella/tomato panini... full breakfast - Ā£8 and Ā£10 "double up" options available, chilli chips, and the breakfast bap). The drinks were fresh, layout was lovely, garden spacious, music delightful, big carpark at the back, sport on HD TVs... and the overall experience was just fantastic. Highly recommended šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼

Recently refurbished pub in the village center. Friendly staff who make you feel wanted as a customer, more than I can say for the Albion Inn. No food at the moment as kitchen has not been finished, but good selection of beers etc. Had a few great nights here while on holiday. Good to see the Cornishman doing well, all the best to the new owners. ONE YEAR UPDATE, sept22. Now doing great food, staff still great, best pub in the village. UPDATE sept23, Cornishman team still going from strength to strength, recommended šŸ‘

They were open late in Easter bank holiday Sunday and having a disco for a christening great fun! Thorough whisky selection. Sharps ale on draught strongbow and the usual lagers. They accept card or cash and have WiFi However... the punters were happier than the the staff. Maybe it should be a wet bar. Happy staff are having fun themselves as well as serving. They looked tired though. Hopefully they'll get a good night's sleep. Id come back again... Just to find more about the place

Brilliant! Made to feel welcome as soon as we came in by really lovely staff, had a nice chat with some of the other folx in the bar and ended up coming back for some food later in the day after having a nice reception!

Really nice menu on offer with a wide enough range for everyones pallete, but also unique enough for the kitchen team to put care into what's on offer, my partner and I absolutely demolished The Cornishman Burger - you know when you take that first bite of meal, and you know it's gonna be a good one! - I'm already looking forward to trying what else Chef can make, best burger I've had a long time and everything we had was fresh, home made, cooked to perfection and served with a smile.

Great bit of banter with some of the locals, the bar staff and waiting staff were all smiley, warm, welcoming and I just can't say anything negative about The Cornishman.

Huge garden and decking with some big screen TVs for sport - can't wait to walk down in the summer for some football and a beer.

For now before the season starts... I think we've found our...

Nice pub been many times over the years including tonight for drinks. Would have scored higher but for my car being blocked in in the car park by a green pick up. As I was struggling to manoeuvre my way out multiple shuffles back and forwards the owner of the pick up appeared with his dog and said to another guy in a silver van that he’d walked his dog around the field. I said you haven’t left me any room to get out and he replied well I’m sick of the traffic around here so that makes us even. Clearly this person is quite willing to use this establishments car park to facilitate walking his dog with absolutely no regards for the paying customers who are legitimately on the premise. Cornishmen management I’m sorry for scoring you a 3 however this person on your premise couldn’t give a monkeys about your patrons and will continue until...
