John's Plaice — Restaurant in England

Ordered 2 medium Haddock and chips from the Rosedale shop and have to say its the worst Ive ever eaten or tried to because I dumped most of mine and my partner dumped all of hers. Chips soaking in oil, fish was tasteless and oily aswell. Stomach starting to feel sick 10 mins after eating a bit of it. Shop looks a mess and looks exactly the same as when it was Rosedale fisheries. £16 to feel sick is not good at all. Avoid it like the plague. Got some really nice fish & chips from here. everything is very fresh and the staff are polite and efficient .....They also advertise delivery , although I never tried it because I live 300 yards away ! 😃 *edit Recently can't help feeling that customers who actually physically go to to the shop are having to wait much longer because of staff prioritising on-line orders silly me for getting off my backside and going to get my (not so ) fast food ! Greeted by staff who couldn't do enough for you. Great service .... Then a little starter of a patty butty on recommendation of the waitress. She suggested salt and lots of vinegar but I insisted on gravy aswel. It transpires I was correct However the fish was served with very crispy golden batter,the chips wasn't greasy but golden and fluffy covered in vinegar sandwiches in bread with thick tasty gravy, salt pepper as a garnish. service...
