I visited this place with my wife on a relatively quiet night (Valentine's day eve).
The restaurant is themed on the colour black from the exterior to the ambience and interior.
We were happily greeted by Mizzy (the owner) at the entrance, who I know from previous encounters.
We ordered the *spicy chicken bao buns (£14) to start, followed by *tandoori chicken thighs served with sautéed French beans and truffle mash cherry tomatoes (£15), and *lamb cutlets with sautéed potatoes and French beans and cherry tomatoes (£18) for main course, finishing with *Biscoff and banana pancakes (£8) for dessert
Mizzy kindly sent complimentary drinks and prawn crackers to the table before receiving the food we ordered (which was very nice of him).
The wait time between the courses was just right and the staff were very attentive.
All the food was very tasty and the portion sizes were just right. The lamb cutlets were a little difficult to remove from the bone but nothing major.
My only gripe was the banana on the pancake was supposed to be caramelised (according to the menu description) as the one received was merely cut in half and placed on top.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience, however not one I could regularly afford due to the...
Read moreEasy to book, accommodating when we had to alter our reservation time due to work commitments. Seated quickly after arriving at 8pm. Our server Morris was amazing throughout the evening and made sure we were looked after. Cocktail menu was not what I expected after researching the place as having a mixologist, expected more choice however the one Cocktail I had was lovely. Starters and mains came out quick but too salty for our palettes and were just average if I'm honest. Desserts were gorgeous and a good variety served as a sharer. Atmosphere was very loud with the dj in full swing throughout, however this could be due to our meal being later than anticipated. People dancing whilst we were tucking into our dinner. Im not really sure what the place is trying to be? It comes across as a modern eatery with classy decor and a menu that looks on the surface to be high end but on the other hand I'd describe it as a party place comparible to a night club, a bit tacky, especially with the flame thrower prancing around people's tables whilst eating their meals. My conclusion great place for drinks, a night out with friends for after work drinks or similar. Staff are great and very organised and hospitable, food is a bit...
Read moreWe've ordered from just eat. Food came within reasonable time. Few things I would like to share with the owner and people;
kids nuggets are just purchased frozen and fried same with samosas jasmine rice wasn't fresh need to make chefs aware that asparagus hard ends supposed to be cut off no served they're always hard no matter how long you do them but it was well seasoned gravy on the lamb shank is from the bag and mashed potatoes aren't salted enough egg rice was tasty however it's done with some sort of fish sauce and this should be mentioned in the menu as our son is allergic to fish weeping tiger tasty meal but the portion is just mega small £18 and it was a size of a starter hotshot pizza I would say it's very average made with cheap ingredients
Overall the restaurant very well presented with menu names and when you look at the photos is welcoming but it's not worth when it comes to price. We don't mind paying money for a good quality food. It's either the owner is trying to cut on expenses or the head chef, it won't go a long way if it stays like this. I don't want to give one start but for £96 tea for 2 adults and 3 young children I don't recommend it till the quality of food...
