Absolutely awful and terrible experience. ZERO stars! I've never in my life felt threatened by any restaurant staff/owners in all the years I've dined out across the world. My crime was to ask a question about the food I had been served, seems simple right when dining in a restaurant where you may have allergies, etc. I was met with aggression and threats by a male and female. I am a woman who was dining with two children and a pensioner. The most disturbing experience in a restaurant that I've ever had. The male member of staff even attempted to assault a 12 year old child who was recording his behaviour. Eat here if you wish but don't ask any questions about what you're being served as those people are unhinged.

Yes, I shouted at you all to call the police after staff had threatened to do so. I'd done nothing wrong so was not concerned about the police lol. Why would anyone try to orchastrate being treated so disgustingly. So nonsensical and unhinged. My son was terrified as his Mum was being harassed by a man. He did not have the camera even close to anyone when he was pushed, as you said, it is indeed captured on camera. I left swiftly as you were brazen enough to assult a child so what else are you capable of!? You are disgusting liars but all the best with your...

Very dissapointed. Nice location, staff were nice too, but quality of food poor. Won't be going back in a rush. Just read owners response that is totally inaccurate. We were a couple, ordered full meal with drinks, and sent back the poor food. We are local to the restaurant, and as said, we will certainly be avoiding the restaurant. Not welcome back, what a lame response! Update : This is the most rudest restaurant owner I've ever come across. He has completely mistaken me and my wife for another dissapointed customer, but instead of looking into the issue further, he makes a complete fool of himself. He takes as much care with his feedback as he does with his food, that is, no care whatsoever. The food was poor, but nowhere near as bad as this owners attitude to his customers. I will be making sure everyone I know in Wellswood reads this, and strongly advising to avoid the restaurant. Looking back at all his feedback , I see that he has taken the same attitude to anyone who gives a bad review. Don't you ever learn Mr Owner, your food is not always good, and that low score feedback is your opportunity to improve, not make enemies of your customers. My wife has also sent feedback, and we will not under any circumstances be...

Ordered a Jungle curry, asked if I wanted it mild, medium or hot. Normally have mild but thought I would give medium ago. The curry finally arrived 35 mins after the bland starter. Tasted curry, it nearly blew my head off, it was so hot. Tried the meat but could not bear the heat. Did not consume any of it. Complained to the owner only to be told Jungle curry only comes as hot despite it stating mild, medium or hot on the menu. Even after pointing this out she refused to take the price of the curry off the bill. Will not go back again.

In response to owners replied to this post. The young male waiter asked me if I wanted the jungle curry mild, medium or hot, I'd never heard of it before.

I did tell one of the female waitresses it was too hot when it arrived, but she just took the plates away. She then told the young male waiter not to tell customers it came as mild, medium or hot....only hot.

So, the facts are: I was given the strength option by your young male waiter. I did inform a female waitress but she wasn't interested.

Sarcasm and rudeness is not needed. My experience was...

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The Tom Yum Gai was underwhelming far too sweet, poorly prepared with unchopped ingredients, and lacking in flavor. I ended up only eating chicken from it which says a lot. Dish that I not recommend. The Pad Kra Pao wasn’t much better the squid was rubbery and overcooked. On the plus side, the Pannang Curry was delicious spicy, rich, and well-balanced. Easily the highlight of the meal. The starter platter was decent and worth trying, though the chicken skewers in it were dry. To top it off, we were almost overcharged for Thai crackers we never ordered, they were added to the bill without mention. After speaking to the server, we were refunded £3.50. Not a huge amount, but it left a bad taste and felt careless. Overall, while there were a couple of solid dishes, the inconsistency in the food and the billing issue make it hard to recommend this place.

Visited Torquay for the bank hol weekend and booked for my family to come in for an Easter Sunday Lunch, we were quite a large party (about 15) and the restaurant staff and owners were super lovely and accommodating. All the ladies were so helpful and quick with serving and clearing our table. As for the food best Thai food I’ve had in the UK so far! I cannot stress enough how fresh the food was, so authentic and tasty— the flavour was there and it’s more than worth a visit if you’re in the area! Every single person enjoyed their food and have been raving about it since we left! I would recommend it a million times over. (The Goong Chu Chee really blew us away, good if you like a spicy kick and so much flavour)

JunJaow Thai Restaurant is so good, we ended up going twice in four days - just superb. Located on the edge of town and whilst there is street parking it can be quite tricky to find a space so do bear in mind if arriving by car. The ambiance is perfect, the restaurant is nicely atmospheric with the kitchen dividing up the space - I hadn't actually realised how big a space this was until entering, it's tardis like and was buzzing. Food is excellent, over the two visits we tried the Green Curry, Pad Kee Mao, Pad Thai - all were delicious and perfectly spiced. Service was also very good - we'll definitely be heading back - mains are prices 12-15 which is excellent value.
