Haddon Galleries — Attraction in England

Upset me a lot when I went to purchase a painting. Told me an original we bought elsewhere that was a one off she could get the artist to paint more and said we would be able told its a one off but she can assure me it can be replicated at anytime. I then sought advice off the shop the artist and de montfort who told me she was wrong and should never have said that. An original one off will not be replicated and would devalue others. Caused me a lot of distress. When I called haddon to explain she was wrong and that I'd been told different she still argued on the phone that its lies anyone could replicate the original we had and its not true its a one off. Now she's denying she said this and upset me so much. The artist and gallery are aware as I spoke to them straight away who both said haddons were wrong and not correct and not to worry. I had my husband with me he vouches this is true and why would we make this up. Its certainly upsetting and odd she's now denying it ever happened and I've spoken again to the artist and trition who both say you are wrong it won't be replicated and I have this in writing. Randomly walked past this lovely gallery whilst on holiday, Shop well presented and well lit with a vaste array mediums and styles. A couple members of staff on the shop floor one seemed very knowledgable as she spoke to other gallerygoers. The other very pleasant, watchful and attentive. Loved that you are left alone even with children in toe.

Was a couple of other staff working away in the back, in a print / framing shop setup. So they offer more than just the products on display. Can't comment as didn't use.

I have seen many works by Edge sculpture online. This is the first time in real life. So it was a coin flip decision between three wise monkeys by the same makers or the colourful gorilla I left with.

Wonderful. Bought a stunning print which I never went in to the shop to buy but it just spoke to me and my personality. Isn’t that the way with art?! Anyway, arrived and was excited to receive it. Slightly dampened by the fact that when it came the frame was damaged. However, and here is the mark of a caring and wonderful shop, they immediately sorted it out, it went back from Yorkshire to Torquay overnight and by the end of the week it was fully fixed and hanging on my wall. The sign of customer service to me is how do they handle problems. Brilliantly in my experience of this gallery. Will certainly buy again and certainly go back, if just for the enthusiasm and infectious personality...
